Mills is a classic spot. Everyone knows and loves them. They had a line out the door. Personally we ordered over the phone but did not receive the right order. They also take only cash (heads up). I feel the place could use a good cleaning. The signage had a lot of dust on it. The people taking orders(money) were also rolling and packing the sandwiches. The food itself is well seasoned and very well proportioned.
I can never leave the town without picking up a hoagie from Mill's. They taste exactly like they did 30yrs ago.Make sure you have cash because they don't accept cards. Support local businesses.
Mills is the best sandwich place you'll ever eat at. No other place will even come close. Their delicious, tons of meat, and at great prices too. If you're like me, you'll be saving half the hoagie for later. Yep, their that filling. Dang, I'm getting hungry now. Guess I'll be going to Mills today for lunch. LOL
It's a real dive and overall the area is caused for locking your car door, as well as checking your surroundings before you get out. But those cheesesteak sandwiches are worth the risk...

Hands down for me this is the best place to get a hamburger in Oakland. Just a fyi this is a cash only burger joint no debit or credit cards.
