The owner, Lisa, is DARLING! She makes everything herself, so please be patient. She works very hard, and she is genuinely sad if she sees you don't finish something she cooked. It's like eating in your mother's kitchen! She's the best, and her food is really good, and definitely prepared with love. She also has a habit of throwing extras in, like pastries or french fries. She hates tipping, and if you tip her, expect extra food on your plate.Love, love, LOVE this place.

Lately they have stopped selling donuts, not a good move for a donut shop.

Real nice philly cheese

Maly Donuts & Burgers punches above its weight while keeping it real in a growing sea of sandwich and burger pretension. This is the kind of shop that keeps a neighborhood alive. The owner is so nice and puts in an incredible amount of work. The food is not gourmet, but that's not why you're here. The croissant breakfast sandwiches are incredible (there aren't always croissants, but when there are they've been freshly baked), and the burger hits above what $5.50 will get you anywhere else in this town. The donuts were also the best texture I've found, and I hope they'll be coming back one day.

Love this place. Sweet owner.

This place is very dive-y, really a 'greasy spoon', and I could just barely talk my companion into going in haha, but I had a feeling this place might be promising. This despite the completely empty dining room. I have a suspicion it's busy here on weekdays at lunch time though (we came here on a Saturday at 10.15am).My mother in law had a breakfast sandwich with egg and ham on whole wheat bread. That looked very plain but she said it was not bad. I went for a maple glazed old fashioned donut, and oh my god was it scrumptious!! So crispy, fresh, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I LOVED it. I have my favorite places for yeast donuts, but now I have a favorite place for cake donuts too. Best I ever had!

Last week was the first time in this excellent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We passed a splendid evening with the efficient service, with the high quality meal and fine drinks and with the honest payment. We will no doubt visit there soon.

I ordered an egg and cheese bagel sandwich and Thai tea at Maly donuts, just a few days ago. I was honestly unimpressed by the quality of the ingredients. The eggs were already mixed and poured from a bottle and the cheese was flavorless. The Thai tea wasn't bad but doesn't make up for the dish overall.

I love hole in the wall, mom and pop donut shops, but this was a bad experience. Rude service, she tried to serve me two week old expired half and half for my coffee and then when I pointed out the expiry date on the carton, the lady tried to argue with me until she relented and finally let me use a newer half & half. The basic glazed donut was very stale, and I threw it away after 3 bites. I came in with reasonable/low expectations, and I never write reviews (this is my first time), but I felt like I have to say something about the old half & half and ancient donuts which can make somebody get sick.
