The rice bowls were very flavorful but very spicy. The tofu was soaked deep with sauce so its filling and the papaya was tasty but lots of chili. The plain rice was saved us from the spice and its cooked perfectly.

Really stimulating parklet with self seating, and the food was good. Unfortunately they gave us a sandwich bursting with cilantro when we asked for none. They fixed it quickly, but it struck at a low blood sugar moment, and thus was really aggravating.

Hands down the BEST vegan food in the Bay Area. Everything on the menu is bursting with flavor and brings me back to childhood. The mushroom goreng, tauhu goreng sandwich and laksa are all a must try. Flavor profiles of each are so complex and satisfying. And don’t forget to treat yourself to a pandan butter nian go for dessert - you won’t regret it! I tell everyone I know (vegans & non-vegans) about this place and I’ll happily continue spreading a good word. This place deserves all the business in the world!

This place transported me right back to my favorite restaurants in Southeast Asia. Tried the Shaobing Sandwich and the Lhaksa. Both were divine. The Lhaksa felt like a slightly elevated version of the dish with roasted shishito peppers and little roasted bits of shallots and garlic on time. And I can see why the Shaobing was voted best sandwich of the Bay, but be warned- it's spicy! The shallot cookies were a unique treat. Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes!

*wonton mee - great, world have loved more bean curd*Mushroom goreng - amazing*pandan butter Nan Gao - 10/10, gf said might be the best thing she's ever had. Sweet but not overly sweet*laksa - amazing*COCONUT PANDAN SUNDAE Kit - incredibly satisfying. Very sweetAll vegan place! Def wanna return

Lion Dance Café is a new favorite. We got a few things:- mushroom goreng: great batter & chili sauce, texture was very juicy- jackfruit rendang: super delicious, perfectly spiced, and very meat-like. Glad to have the roasted peanuts for extra protein & crunch :)- kojio e pepe: you need to come on saturdays just for this. So creamy & flavorful!! I wouldn’t have guessed it was vegan. We definitely struggled a little with the spice level but it was worth it.Service was good, we didn’t have to wait in line and they told us about a 25 minute wait but the food was ready in less than 20. Their outdoor seating was full by the time our food was ready, so we went around the corner to Bar 355 to buy drinks and sit in their parklet.I cannot wait to come back and try the sandwiches & nuggets!!

I've had the mushroom goreng, sesame & chicory salad, nuggets, laksa, tauhu goreng sandwich, kojio e pepe and the panda butter - all absolutely incredible. The perfect blend and burst of flavors in their creations are something I crave every day. If you want the best vegan food in Oakland this is the spot. A little pricey but worth every penny.

Really good French toast with crusty bread, diner style scrambled eggs, coffee refills. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would love to return!

Noodles are great, Laksa all the way

super tasty! i got the tofu sandwich forgot what it was called, but it was a massive burger and the sauce was nutty and curry like. the not shrimp chips are also really good, i would say better than actual shrimp chips.
