I went for the first time and it's truly a locals spot. The Bartender was welcoming and greeted me as i walked in. The bar seemed fully stocked and for the Wednesday night Steppers set, there were some Steppers in there. Casual to comfortable dancing attire was acceptable. The cocktails were reasonably priced. It appeared to be a Black-Owned business and I was glad to see people patronizing this establishment.
Comfortable atmosphere. Decent music. Friendly and cordial bartender. Friendly and engaging crowd. Had a really good night.
I had a wonderful time with my people.
Love the live music and the bartender guy was great!!
Small little spot with an older crowd and nothing but R&B. If you want to listen to rap, don't come here. Had a blast here, but don't let the toilet get clogged, they shutting the whole thing down!!
The blues on Sunday is the most hidden gem in all of Oakland. Out of this world music in an old school dive setting with the friendliest of folks. Bonus points for always letting me dance around in my roller skates!
One of the last Black OG spots in Oakland which is a shame but that's another story. Drinks and prices are good folks are cool. Grown folks get down ??
Cool little spot to have a drink, dance, listen to music or karaoke
Very nice place to visit and have fun
A real swanky wine bar without weird people. There are days when random conversations and personalities are much needed and other days when you prefer a intimate setting. I haven't had a bad experience at Lakeside Lounge. The lighting is real dim and everyone seems to be here to enjoy a nice glass of wine without random distractions. There are also small bites available if you are really that hungry. Food isn't half bad. I'm sure that if your real intentions are to go and meet people - Lakeside Lounge might be an alright place to go as well. Overall a good date spot and girls night spot.
