My fiancee n I have experienced this delicious eatery for the first time after my acupuncture appointment. We happened to be driving by and we both were hungry n ouches this spot.I got the shrimp taco my eyes couldn't believe how big the shrimp taco was. Not only was the food fabulous customer service was just as great and our waitress was so real she had no filter lol we both laughed as. She entertained us. Highly recommend people who read this post that they should try this place especially experiencing this for the first time.price is reasonable atmosphere/ambiance says a lot.. will we go back heck yes to bring family n friends. I saw La Calaca Loca Taqueria on KQED's Check Please program and drove from San Leandro to Oakland when I had an urge for fish tacos. Oh my, these were the BEST & most substantial fish tacos I've EVER tasted! I got one batter fried & the other grilled...both were excellent! I had to wait quite a few hours b4 I could eat the 2nd one. They were so good I had to go again soon & bought enough to share! Bon Appetit!
Amazing fish tacos! We also loved the burritos (chicken, veggie, and steak). My friend loved the soup. Literally everything we try here is great. We enjoy the decor and prices as well.
I wish it was possible to give 0 stars. I didn't get what I paid for. I literally read each ingredient I wanted in my wet burrito and literally just got fish and cabbage. They didn't do anything to remedy the situation. On top of that, I tipped well before receiving my food. Don't support this establishment.
Grilled mushrooms and onions quesadilla best dish ever. The comforting melted cheese paired with the earthy mushrooms knocks it out of the park. They've made a very festive space brightly decorated. Staff is warm, accommodating. Parking seems to be always available, family friendly spot.

The Shrimp and the Grilled Pescador Tacos Calaco especial were delicious! The ingredients in the Shrimp Taco were so fresh and tasty that it almost didn't need the Shrimp. Cheese Enchilada plate was delicious also and that melted cheese on top was a delightful treat. I will go back again...
