We recently did a virtual cooking class with them and I highly recommend! Lisa had tons of great information and Chef Olive was helpful and brought great charisma. It was so much fun!
My job hosted a company team building event and they went with Kitchen On Fire! I was super excited about the class and had an amazing time. Chef Olive is extremely patient, kind, and knowledgeable! It was a great beginner friendly dish and he made sure everyone was keeping up and answered all questions without missing a beat! I’d definitely like to come back again for another course! Thank you, Chef!
This review is long overdue - I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kitchen on Fire. I’ve had the pleasure of attending both their in-person and online offerings, and both were wonderful. Chef Mat guided us through Kitchen on Fire’s Night in Florence about a year ago, and we still make recipes from that evening to this day. He was a great teacher, and did a wonderful job of making everyone at every skill level (read: I’m a beginner and my partner is more advanced) feel welcome and excited about what they were contributing to our group’s meal. More recently, my partner and I attended Michael Cecconi’s Cocktails for the Holidays course and we had a blast. We learned so much about making stellar cocktails from Michael, and appreciated both the notes/ingredient list sent to prepare for the course’s online version as well as the on-the-fly substitution suggestions Michael was able to provide. All in all, we had a ton of fun with both of these courses, and can’t recommend them highly enough. Hats off to Chef Mat, Michael, and all the folks at Kitchen on Fire who make it happen.
We had so much fun with a virtual corporate event cooking with Chef Gaby and Chef Olive. If you need a team building event or something to do during your intern program, try them out! So much fun and learned great skills. Plus made delish food.
We were given the Southern Italy class with Chef Lev as a Christmas gift. Having just returned from a vacation in Sicily, the class was especially meaningful. I had never understood the appeal of eggplant carbonata until I had a chance to taste it prepared right, and then to cook it in the class. Everyone has to cook, and taking a class with professionals in a real kitchen, you learn a lot just by observation which you can use to upgrade your own cooking. A great experience--highly recommended.
Great group cooking experience. Chefs were very friendly and helpful. Learned a lot more than expected. Would recommend for group events. Lots of fun
