Great food. It is made to order so it was piping hot. The season was perfect on my fish and the shrimp were battered and fried just right. I had mine crispy. My husband had the wings and tore them up. The chicken breast were juicy and flavorful. A lot of food for the price. It was our first time here and we definitely be back when we visit Oakland.
Good food prices went up the fish was sliced in half we should get whole pieces of fish, the fried chicken is good the job loves to order.
I really don't know what's going on at this restaurant but the food is really going downhill. I ordered a three-way combination with specific instructions on how I wanted everything cooked the only thing that was cooked right where the oysters! The fish the batter was falling off so was not done in the chicken taste like it was reheated. Besides I had way more liquid than greens and I don't know what that macaroni and cheese was but it tastes like Kraft macaroni and cheese not homemade at all. The only thing good from that whole entire order was the red velvet cake in the jalapeno peppers. So very disappointed. I did call the restaurant and they gladly said that they would redo my order so I will be going back later on today. I'm praying that they get it right this time
The fish ? and shrimp ? were great but the young man suggested the beans and rice 4a side and it was nasty. The drinks were sooooo good the next day my lemonade was still tart, not watered down.
Chicken hecka good that's about it every thing else is okay they just need to use more seasonings on there side dishes..
We just went to get JJ's and it didn't disappoint, except for the mac n cheese. I ordered chicken wings and shrimp with a side of mac n cheese, and my gf ordered hot wings. The wings and shrimp I ordered were hot, crispy, juicy, and awesome! "The hot wings weren't crispy, but a little soggy; the fries were killer!" is what my gf said about her meal, but she wouldn't order it again. I've never ordered the hot wings here because the original flavor is amazing. Now to the mac n cheese... It tasted like it had lemon zest mixed into the cheese, which made it more tangy than anything else. It was kinda runny and wasn't really good. I took a couple of bites and she took one before we both agreed that the mac n cheese was better in the trash than in our mouths. I won't be ordering that mac n cheese again anytime ever... Overall, the food was fast, delicious (except the m&c), and flavorful as always and I'll definitely be back to visit this location next time I'm in town.
Really good food. Could've been a lil bit cleaner. But it was doable.
JJ is the bomb they got new people working there and they're very good at what they do I give it a four Star
