I was surprised that it wasn't busy at lunch because the food was the bomb! I got the perch which was coated in cornmeal and it was so fresh and flakey! The hot sauce is very flavorful. The mac and cheese was creamy.I'll definitely be back!!
I love me some JJs, my twin came to visit me from Fresno and he wanted some fish we drove all the way from Fremont to Oakland for some JJs

I drove all the way from San Francisco. When I got there my food was ready very hot and delicious. Service was great. Do not try that lemon cake.... It's very addicting. ?
Very nasty the catfish was dry and hard the chicken nuggets for dry and hard the french fries for dry and hard I give them the straight zero do not recommend
Delicious fried catfish nuggets and jumbo shrimp well cooked and prepared, the people are really nice and laid back, reminds me of JJ Fish and Chicken in Chicago.
I thought all of them were good. Ordered sole but got talapia, as if we don’t know the difference. The fish was undercooked and gross. I asked for a different side, but received nothing. Same thing at one in Sacramento. If you want good fish, go to the one on W. Grand. Never will go here again. I threw it away.
Very disappointed yesterday evening, at this J&J I support often until yesterday.I place my order for a large catfish fillet waited 10min when I received the order and picked it up I felt strange my order was light as a feather for $15.00. It was four small pieces of fish and about 20 fries and they were cool, heatless from warm.We understand they take a whole piece of fish and cut it in half but when they are cutting the half and sell the half of half you are robbing us the customer and that is unfair. If I wait 10 min the order should be hot it wasn't.There are many places to eat, home is one of them. Merchants please acknowledge we want to support your business but if we come and leave and still have to cook we can stay home and cook. Frying the whole piece of fish.Blessings Pastor D
