The food was good quality. The service was also good. They have it outside area where you can bring your dogs.There is also have another menu that they don't tell you about unless you ask. This 2nd menu has some less expensive, smaller portion options. Some of us ordered regular gyros off of that 2nd menu. Others in our party ordered off the main menu and discovered that their portion sizes were huge.
We wanted to order mussels - no mussels. There was another dish I can't remember that we wanted, also not available. So we each ordered the Gyros stacker. And a stacker it was. There was so much food that we took a box home. While we each had lamb gyros, mine had chicken in it(!!) and I wanted the fries, my companion ordered no fries, but got them. The restaurant was pretty empty so the waiter should have remembered it. The good thing was a salad with very fresh greens and I had a white from Rhodes that was excellent.
Have been coming here for years. Same great good, but I think the menu has changed. Now the portions are huge family style for a reasonable price. Ask for the gyro sandwich at dinnertime as it's not on the dinner menu but still served.
Lovely patio out back. Really nice staff. Excellent saganaki! Orzo side too mustardy for my wife's tastes but that's a personal preference. All the food was quite good, cocktails were nice too. Would definitely return. The spicy whipped feta is a favorite.
A pleasant experience. The staff was helpful. The food tasty.We ate inside the restaurant but they have a walled patio in the back as well.
Very Good from Beginning to end. Had a business meeting food was excellent. Great Greek Wine selection as well.

Food was excellently prepared from the freshest produce. The falafel was the freshest I’ve ever eaten. The combo pricing wasn’t very clear with some portions too small and others came as full portions when only single ($7) asked for. Bill ended up a lot more than expected. Service was good. Recommended for anyone who loves authentic Greek food.
Found this restaurant on YELP…We had never been to Ikaros and we were looking for a place in Oakland to take an “out of town” friend to dinner. We all enjoyed our entrees and the servers were so nice and friendly! Will be back!
Had a great experience last year at this restaurant and wanted to go back for Mother’s Day this year. The restaurant was not full, but we waited over an hour for our food and the order was wrong when it came, and one of our party had to wait longer to eat. It appears that they were prioritizing door dash pick ups and ignoring the dine in guests, when it really should be the other way around.
