Saw Tash Saltana. Best....show...ever! The venue was beautiful, I haven't been there in so long but it handled a packed house very well. The crow was unbelievably welcoming but not all of the staff was as friendly as the rest. But I have no complaints. Great venue, still a great location, Oakland for sure. Definitely a must visit location when you have the chance.
The interior of the theater is more stunning than the exterior and I love the exterior...Went to our first show the other night, midnight oil, and it was a great experience.Great sound quality and great views.Definitely a place that I want to come back to and experience another show in.I went on YouTube after the show and saw Metallica and Green Day videos playing at the Fox and I certainly wish I was there for those!Great bars (be sure to tip the bartenders!) with a good selection of wine beer and liquor.All of the staff that we met were friendly and helpful.Will be back!
It has been a long time since I last visited the beautiful Fox theater. I love it every time I get a chance to attend a show here. Oakland has changed so much over the past decade, due to many different reasons, with gentrification, perhaps, being one of the biggest reasons, among other long-standing social-economic issues that have plagued this city.Anyhow, I got to spend the evening in the graceful presence of Ludovico Einaudi and his special solo performance here at Fox Theater during his American tour. His music is so much more wonderful LIVE! The simplicity of this man's presence and his piano was such elegant of a view, a feast for both eyes and ears. Music like this can calm a crying child, regulate your nervous system, and take your mind to a whole different world. It is pure CLASS! If you're a fan of classical music and get a chance to see this man's performance in real life, I'd highly recommend it. It's worth every penny.P. S. I'm thankful for the sincere older gentleman who worked at the nearby parking lot on Telegraph Ave. He was kind enough to accompany me on a walk to the nearby ATM so I could get some cash to pay him for the parking fee. I so appreciate his kindness and our conversation along the way.

great venue! Saw Haim there. The bathrooms were super clean and there wasn’t really ever a wait for drinks. The decor is also really great.Would definitely see another show there if I had the chance.
Truly one of the nicer bay area venues if it not the nicest. There are many landmark venues like this but none of them taken care of this well and kept active all the time. Sound system is definitely a highlight too..
This a truly lovely theater and a wonderful venue for a concert. I sat way back in the balcony, but still had a good view of the stage. My daughter and friend were on the floor in GA, and they were so happy to have found a step to stand on so they could see. The sound quality was excellent, and the inside of the theater was gorgeous. We parked about three blocks away, so it was a short walk. There were several options for food nearby. We had Shake Shack!
beautiful venue! i saw mitski live and the acoustics were very good. the theater is relatively small but the staff is good at staying organized. there is not a lot of space for lines so the lines to get it wrap around the block.
I was here for the Hiatus Kaiyote show 03/17/22. My partner fainted during their first song. Me & everyone around tried our best to flag security. No one seen us & no one came. Fearing for my partner’s safety, I had to pick them up & do my best to carry them out of the crowd of people & into safety while they were fully unconscious. There was not a dedicated path which was extremely concerning, everyone was standing on the stairs and crowding our way. I was unable to move, I even accidentally dropped my partner a couple times. Luckily a concerned audience member noticed I was struggling & did their best to clear a path for us. When we finally exited the crowd I could only find one security guard off to the side. I asked for help & had to wait through another song before a medic showed up. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the medic was very kind, understanding & helpful when they showed up. Everything else about this night was a nightmare. I am just glad I was able to get my partner out of there safely.
Very good! Great concert hall. I added the telegraph room to the ticket. Entrace is seperate, on the left hand side.Good to know some pros and cons.Pros:- won't wait in long line. After showing ticket, ID, vax card, can go into the lounge instead of waiting in the cold.- free coat check, complimentary food and coffee.-meat or veggie paella is small but cooked well enough.- access to GA areas, and Telegraph only section.Meh?:- the special mixed drinks are 16$ a pop. Beer selection is not special. Mixed drink Quality was pretty decent. I'd reccomend the "center stage".- the Telegraph section is mostly standing room only. There are seats here and there, but good luck seeing over people at the railing.Reccomendation: if you do the telegraph room, get there Early while the bar line is small. Then B line (after eating) to the special section, get one of the seats in the Telegraph section and drag it up to the railing. You'll get the best of all worlds and your legs won't get tired :)
