Don’t come to this place if you like bland food! The spices, herbs and fresh fruits and veg they use at the Farmhouse make their dishes outstanding! That, and the obvious magic that their chef works in the kitchen. We absolutely loved the chicken dish that was served in a pineapple. And the beef rolls we had as a starter were such little flavour bombs. The Larb was also quite tasty, albeit now what I was expecting given it was listed as a salad (there was not much greenery in it). We would definitely go back!
I enjoyed the food and the staff were great .
This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in Oakland. Delicious dishes, always super-friendly staff, colorful plates, outdoor seatings at the pier. Great restaurant to go to and have a nice walk afterwards at Jack London Square during the day. Be sure to make a reservation to avoid long wait. Only allowed to be seated after all party has arrived.
Most Thai restaurants in the Bay don't disappoint but a very few standout and farmhouse Thai is one of those places. Great taste and experience everytime I go here even though their prices just seem to be shooting higher and higher.
A fun, beautiful space that's great for special occasions and food photography. Some highlights were the fried chicken, pad see ew and special birthday song and dessert for our table.
I rarely ever write reviews but to be honest was pretty let down with the quality of the food that I ordered. The Curry sauce / sweet sauce itself was ok. The Rice was very bland and half of the chicken was just fried skin which I removed to try and enjoy it. The Samosas were the best thing that we ordered. My date and I were seated around 8pm. Still tipped our waiter since it’s not really their fault and honestly felt that for the price this place was just not worth it. The aesthetics are nice, food “looks” good and I’m pretty sure the drinks might slam but I honestly won’t be coming back and suggest a different spot for better Thai food.
Great food and great service
We ordered pork ribs, coconut curry fried chicken and papaya salads. OMG the pork ribs is a MUST try! The sauce the so good! Totally worth the price. I also love the pancake that come with coconut curry. If you dip the pancake in the curry, it will bring out more coconut flavors! Yummm? The sauce of Papaya salad is a highly light as well. Overall, all three dishes we orders had unique memory points, I would come back to this place. Also the service was pretty good too, the food was served not too long after we ordered.
-Classic Thai Tea ($6)-Pad See You [flat white noodles, cage free eggs, carrot, asian broccoli -with beef added (additional $8)] ($18.95)farmhouse thai kitchen is truly such an aesthetically pleasing place from the inside seating area it's so dreamy, romantic, and classy. whereas the outdoor area is also very dreamy but vibrant and lively. i enjoyed eating at this spot but it is a bit on the pricier end/food options are a bit limited in my opinion. i ordered the pad see you which was pretty standard -- id say the flavors didn't stand out with the price i was paying but the ingredients did taste fresh and well. the thai tea was also pretty standard -- and this i feel measures to about the same id pay elsewhere too. for me this is more of a brunch spot with friends, date night out near the waters, and overall - fun atmosphere id like to go to for a fancy meal -- but not something id go to regularly. staff are so nice and welcoming and if you're in the area i would recommend checkin this place as an experience.ps: the sunset view was killer when i went two saturdays agotip: parking lot nearby and i paid about $10 for 3-4 hrs!
