I got the prawn po' boy and it was great! Tasted fresh, battered in cornbread. Had a great crunch to it !! I was surprised about how big the sandwich was! Fries were good, mac & cheese was creamy! 5 stars. The only thing I would've liked better, is if the fries were seasoned.
Very over priced and we had to wait an extra15 minutes past our expected pickup time. I had the lobster Mac. If you like a plethora of cheese, it's amazingly cheesy. My husband had the seafood jambalaya. He didn't like it but I thought it was pretty good. The portion sizes were good but, I thought it was too expensive for mostly pasta, cheese, and rice dishes.
We stopped by after an Oakland A’s game and had a family meal for the 5 of us. We had chicken, fish, shrimp, greens, yams and red beans n rice. All tasted amazing! We returned to Vallejo full of the yummy food.
Hands down the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. It has very limited dine-in seating but they do carry-out as well.
I had Devaughn's Cajun Kitchen at a private event a couple of months ago. The food was SO good that I reached to her to help with my monthly Homeless Shelter dinner donations. I recommend this restaurant for all of your catering needs. Also just to grab a bite to eat!
Super tasty, super friendly, affordable, & genuine "N'awlins" flavor. BUT CHECK your take out order BEFORE leaving, ESPECIALLY when they're busy! I ended up being over charged for my order because what I was GIVEN was NOT what I ORDERED, despite attempting to SHOW/TELL them my ordered items THREE times! A little more attention to the customer trying to help them at a busy time would have resulted in getting the order paid for! Maybe next time!
My daughter and I decided to try Devaughn's for the first time and ordered a selection of food. We started with the Catfish, Collard Greens and Cajun potatoe salad which was delicious. Then we had the Gumbo drowning with plenty of seafood, sausage and rice..umm goodness. We tried Garlic Noodles and Shrimp and boy oh boy was it good and keep in mind that the potions are very generous. We had the Shrimp and Grits and it was delicious. The last dish we had was the Lobster Mac and we didn't care for this as something was a miss and it was burnt and had a weird taste. The lady who worked there was very nice and apologized and she refunded me the money on this dish. I will come back.
The food is ok it’s not the best, we waited a hour for our food. It was freshly cooked , although I think they should do take out orders only until they are really ready for customers to eat inside.my suggest is you call in your order , and wait at least 45- hour before you go to pick it up . Far from professional. Nobody was wearing mask .
The service is great they're efficient they're mannerable. food is hot and I'm talking about real Southern down home cooking it's really good it's like being with family great food on time and your full and satisfied
Had the big bowl of shrimp, grits and links. The links were missing but still taste them in there. It was sooo delicious my kids and I shared a bowl costing around $17+ tax. My babies enjoyed every bite and Chef Toya really put her back into this. We will be back to try more that's on the menu. Thank you all so much. Please keep this place open to many fakes around here misusing the Cajun flavors. See y'all next week!
