Upon walking in, I was asked to wear a face mask even though several employees behind the counter did not have one on. After I put a face mask on to be seated, I noticed an employee by the name of Dana who never had her face mask on the entire time I was there. Upon several request that she put on a face mask, she never did. The whole time she was waiting on customers and handling food.Why do the customers have to wear a face mask to come in, but your employees don't have to even though they're handling other people's food?!?!
Coffee was way over priced and not fresh. I had two other people along with myself and each one of our meals were not complete or were lacking something...for example I ordered just two pancakes and I had to ask for syrup, my brother was missing his toast and my friend couldn't get a salt shaker for the life of him...plus the bathrooms were dirty

I mean, it's Denny's, in Oakland. Never visited this area before but the food was exactly as it should've been and the waitress was fine. Not overly attentive, not under attentive. She let us eat, took care of what needed to be taken care of and we were on our way. Simple and easy stop.
This morning March 26th 2022 is my birthday. I went to denny's to get the Grand Slam birthday breakfast. One of the waiters his name was Francisco and a very rude and condescending manner told me that they didn't do that anymore. So I called the other Denny's to see if it was so. And they said that I would have to go online and get a coupon. So I went back into the restaurant to ask about this and Francisco said and very hoarse voice I told you we don't do that anymore and get out of the restaurant. This was the Denny's on 601 Hegenberger Road in Oakland. I will never go there again. I will recommend that my friends don't go there. This guy Francisco was very rude he needs more training on how to talk to people. Never again will I go to a Denny's.
Placed my online order. Received email to rate their service. The order was NOT delivered hence 1 star because I couldn't give you a lower rating. Called to correct the issue but no one seems to know how to correct the issue by returning my money! This is BS. Denny's aka thieves .
I am witnessing a death of an ikon Dennys was the place to go after a night of drinking ,before a job or to sit and enjoy the conversation but I refuse to pay $20 for 'moons over sanfranny' just like cigarettes I won't pay over $9 for two eggs potatoes toast and jam RIP breakfast eatingout I'm going to miss you
Denny's is never too far away from being an awesome experience or a terrible one. We chose this one as it was along our trip home, we were running errands. The location is rather "seedy" and it was literally empty inside. The service was mediocre, the food was OK. It was neither awesome or terrible, but could have easily gone either way. I generally LOVE the vibe in Denny's, but this one missed the mark.
At the time I went the lobby was closed so my friend and I didn't get to eat in. However, the host's customer service attitude was superb and entertaining. In addition, the food was promptly prepared and well enjoyed on the ride out. ??
