Arrived here at around 8:30pm as a last-minute plan for a late dinner. Our server cleared an open table at the parklet and set up heat lamps for us. The upbeat music put us in an instant good mood. I enjoyed looking at the mural along with pockets of succulents above. We ordered the Chim Cút, butter glazed fried quail. That was so tasty! The prawns that came with the garlic noodles, Mì Tỏi, was so big and fresh. I savored every bite of that Hot Steamed Bun with braised pork belly.
The place was very nice, the menu was good- try the garlic noodles with prawns and the drinks were awesome too
The summer rolls were delicious. With awesome bits of crunchiness with the fried wonton wrappers inside! <3Hospitality was amazing! The pho was also great! My only complaint is: please give me the real OG Sriracha. (And hoisin sauce please)
Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat around 3:30-4pm is week. Place had one table of 6 or so and I was promptly seated and helped out. Truthfully I was waiting for another place to open down the street, so I opted for appetizers and WOW. They are AMAZING!Details:I dined inDidn’t wait for seating, plenty of room mid day (could see it getting much busier for dinner)I went with the Roti (9/10) and Wicked Buns (Pair ; 10/10!!!)Service was very friendly and Conte at to another post their English was perfect. Like literally no problems.I highly recommend this for an afternoon bite or for dinner. Can’t wait to try the Pho!Thank you tell Co Nam! Absolutely delicious!
When most places are reserved and the party doesn’t show or hasn’t shown, they will give you a seat. This place won’t. On this alone, don’t think I’ll be returning!!! Bunch of “reservations” look like a bunch of empty seats to me. So right now they have lost my business because it’s too stuffy to sit inside anyways. The owner is nice but can’t stand the staff after tonight. Excuses , excuses , excuses !!
Ordering was so hard. Just not enough English understanding to make it work. You can order off menu cause you have to point at what you want. Long Island ice tea or a now even a double Jack and coke is a no. If you can’t point you can’t have it.The food came the noodles and shrimp are so over cooked it’s impressively bad. Not surprised we’re the only ones here. The drink I did get was pretty good.
I really enjoyed this place, lots of creative takes on Viet dishes. Vegetarian friendly! Drinks were decent but looked niced than they tasted.
Big shout-out to chef Trung Nguyen for letting us get a sneak preview of the upcoming four course prix fixe menu for Oakland restaurant week! The food and drinks were all exceptionally cooked, perfectly seasoned and, as you can see from the photos, beautiful. We'll be back again to try the rest of the menu very soon!
Fun place, tasty food, bit slow service.Vegan pho was pretty good!Good food for late bar service but would appreciate more condiments and nicer presentation (side plate of pho “fixings”).
Fun ambience, friendly service, tasty eats, & fresh unique cocktails. As a local business owner I will definitely be bringing some of my casual business meetings here!
