Great food. Clean and fast
Had brunch here on a holiday. This place has a big parking lot. We were seated right away. We sat at an outdoor tables on the deck with an umbrella that provided us some shade, which was perfect for sunny Oakland. The server was nice and offered some water in a bowl for the small dog we had with us, and two people brought food to our table all at once. The waffle and sausage was good. I asked for my eggs over medium and that was exactly how they were cooked.
Typical diner food with typical Diner service. No Michelin stars will ever be earned here.The burger was good, one of the chicken wings wasn't fully warmed. I'm guessing they warm them up in a microwave because it was hot on the outside but cold near the Bone but the other eight were fine. Our server was nice enough but after she brought our food we didn't see her until the end of the meal when she checked to see if we wanted anything else before she brought the check.
Outside dining ? you have a view of the boats/water. Food was served hot and on time. Staff patience was nice to a tourist. A little pricey but I am will to come back and try the breakfast.
One of my all-time favorite comfort spots. I don't have a lot of money, but I want a lot of food and great service with a smile, this is where I come. The food is fast, fresh, and just what you need to tuck in especially after a long night out. I always have leftovers!
The Buttercup is exceptional. The food, the service and the cleanliness is absolutely exceptional! I'm not from Oakland and me and my fiance just was looking for a good breakfast place to eat. We came up on a Gem! We will definately be back.
In a quiet area, good parking. Nice place with a Bar. Traditional American style food.Liked that the vegetables were not over cooked, sandwiches good. Dinner menuwas ok. Service quick and professional.Accessible for mobility access.
I spent two weeks in Oakland for work. I was so happy to find this restaurant really close to my hotel. I ate here several times during my stay and I was never disappointed! I didn’t order the same thing twice and everything I had was delicious! When my boss came to town we ate here and he really loved it too! The staff was always so nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend Buttercup!! The menu has lots of options plus all day breakfast! You can’t go wrong!
