We were having lunch with some great friends at Wolf when they recommended this little pasta shop down the street and insisted we order something to take home. We obliged and were just amazed how wonderful this place is. If you love Italian and wish to take some great pasta, appetizers, desserts, etc. home, you've got to come here. It's on Piedmont Avenue, right next to Blue Bottle Coffee. One could say it's a "hole in the wall", but it's packed with wonderful fresh made items including appetizers, seasonal salads, pastas, desserts, etc. all freshly made and many of them quick frozen so you can easily finish preparing them at home with minimal effort. We took our friends' advice and ordered the Lasagna alla Bolognese and their Tagliatelle. It had to be one of the best lasagnas I've ever had and the Tagliatelle was quick frozen and I ordered by the portion/weight. We not only would definitely return, but we will also soon have dinner at their restaurant. That's located elsewhere in the Oakland/Berkeley area.

I recently picked up some of the fresh gnocchi on a friends recommendation. I froze some using my food saver. Today I have cooked chicken gnocchi soup .. long slow cooking. Added the gnocchi at end… next time I will buy twice as much!! It was like eating little pillows of heaven ?? Taking me back to the early 80’s when I had first moved to San Francisco & eating in little Italy. Happy memories were some how cooked in my soup today
