I’ve been going to Barney’s since the 90s — this establishment is absolute trash now. I don’t know what happened. The first dish served to me was not what I ordered and when they delivered the second it they buried the peppers at the bottom of the salad. I sent it back and just decided to pass on eating as the rest of the table was already done by that time. The dish was then brought back to me explaining the missing peppers were at the bottom and I was asked if I still wanted it. I declined.When the bill was brought over I was lectured for wasting food and the second salad was still included. Utterly shocked. I asked them to correct it. I’ve eaten at Barney’s for decades this was not my expectation. I will never return to this location and do not recommend. Between the staff and the line cooks — there’s no hope for a positive experience.
Burgers and salads are delicious. Try their curly fries with ranch. So good!
Barney's always brings home the bacon (aka 'they always deliver the goods). They have lots of options for most diets. Lots of classic options, burgers, sandwiches, salads, sides, skakes and more... Yum?
Barney’s has been a staple for burger lovers in the Bay Area for years. I’m happy to see they included another vegetarian offerings with the Beyond burger. Although their veggie patty isn’t great, the fries and shake are worth going for alone.
Wow, these are huge burgers! My Maui Waui burger was sloppy and so delicious. My date had a Bacon Cheeseburger, and we shared a half order of onion rings. I did add an onion ring to my burger- recommend! We sat inside at a booth, they also serve in the garden patio out back. It was a bit pricey, but I did take home leftovers for lunch the next day.

Not sure what's happened here. This used to be the only place to get a burger. The meat had ZERO seasoning and over cooked. Fries were good. Definitely no longer worth the price. Server came by 3x. Once to take order, once to drop food, once to collect payment. Not sure I would repeat. Sad to see this place slipping
OMG.. OMG!! The fried pickles are life! Actually all the fried food is good.If the service was better, I would give it 5 stars.
We have eaten at Barneys several times in the past and now I am finally writing a review. We visited the Rockridge location because they have a really nice patio area to dine on a nice day. The tables are spread out nicely and it is a relaxing patio with trees and greenery to make your eating experience relaxing. We ordered: - The North Beach which has artichokes and mushrooms and the dish was HUGE and smothered with these additions. Requested it rare and they made it rare! - I ordered the Barneys regular burger and it was cooked to perfection (Rare) and so juicy! - Fried Pickles – the order was so large I initially told our server uhhhh we didn’t order this. Well we did order it, I wasn’t quite expecting the order so large. - Steak fries – consistent and always hot and delicious - Bottle of Whitehaven Sauv blanc. It was a deal at $21/bottle We had excellent service and the wait time for our food to come out was pretty speedy once you order. Great little patio in back for warm days in Rockridge!
I don't get to go to this burger joint as much as i would like too but they sure have tasty burgers!!! ??
