Was told this was THE place for banh mi and they were basically only open on weekdays. Made the drive at 8am on Sunday to beat any possible rush. It was hella empty though so idk...The sandwiches were good but nothing too special... The cashier was pretty rude too but eh that's the no frills viet vibe that reminds me of when I was back in Nam LOLFood: 7/10Service: 3/10Experience: 4/10Value: 6/10

Best Vietnamese sandwiches in Oakland! It has a small parking lot in the back. It's a shame that the neighborhood is in poor shape. Currently only opens Friday through Sunday from 7:30am to 3pm, takeout only. Be prepared to stand in line to order and wait 20 minutes for your food.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches in town! Their Thai iced tea is my favorite of any place I've ever had. They work very quickly too. Not to say you won't spend like an hour if you go on a weekend at lunch time but that's because they are that good. I have yet to have something that I really dislike from here. Give it a try if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.

DELICIOUS, first time trying because my uncle recommended this place to me. I am sad I've only discovered it today but for the price of $5.50, this was an authentic experience. Bread was crispy, sandwich was utterly delectable. Will be coming here from now on.

Best Banh mi ever. The line was so long but the service was fast. $5.50 per sandwich. Other food was good too. There is a parking lot behind the building in case you cannot find parking. They do have an updated hours. I don't think it opens on Sunday. I should take a picture for that.

Bread smells good and is usually a bit softer than other places which I love.Good bahn mi but not super outstanding compare to other bahn mi stores.A bit low average price depends what you get.

Perfect spot to grab a sandwich for the round of golf at nearby Corica. Can’t beat the selection of Vietnamese snacks and variety of sandwiches. Def my favorite banh mi spot in the East bay.

Excellent banh mi and Viet coffee. Narrow straw, perfect, this is not a drink you want to guzzle; so greatly enjoyed, you want it to last.

3 stars, because I never give 5 stars. Deducted a star due to the fact that they do not take phone orders. There were a few large orders while I was standing in line. One of the large order was (17) #2's & (10) #7's!?In any event, we ordered the #13 (Meatball w/Eggs) & #18 (Grilled Chicken). Both sandwiches were good, but nothing "popped" out to make them "different" from other Banh Mi restaurants. I would drop by again, but earlier next time. The selections on pre-made food was non-existent at around 1:30pm.

Great sandwiches. Ingredients are very fresh. And you should try the iced coffee. It is strong! Did I say strong? Will have you wired so be careful. Also be cautious in that neighborhood. Left the store with our sandwiches and there was a side show up the block and a huge fire under the bart tracks over on the opposite block. So be aware and cautious.
