Spend money at any taco truck in east oakland... They're 5 minutes away and actually cook their food. This neighborhood supports this place because it is "The Mexican option" within a mile.Fish tacos: bland, somehow too saltyBurritos: cold, blandBirria tacos: soggy before you dipDrinks: warm from the cooler"Best fish tacos in town", no!"Good taqueria, never disappoints!", if you like Chevy's!Customer service and restaurant are chill, and fine... food is not worth the price by a mile.
Decent, tasty fish tacos, burrito plates, beer. The food runs a little salty if you are into super healthy Baja fresh food. However, I don’t believe they open any cans here. Good cafe service
I've been going here since I was a small kid and it never disappoints! The tacos are huge, and man, the legends about the baja fish tacos aren't exaggerated- they're the bomb.
Really disappointed! I ordered their regular nachos and paid $12. The chips were soggy and it didn't have very much cheese. It's supposed to have beans and I got a sprinkle of them. I thought maybe there were more beans underneath the jalapeños and their salsa fresca but there was maybe 3 little beans. See the picture for what it looked like right after I opened it. It may look like they gave me a lot but it was literally 1 thin layer of chips. Way overpriced for what they gave me.
Love this place. The foods not bland but not heavy either.
Best fish tacos in town!
I had the lobster burrito and the soup both were excellent and I will be going back. Service was excellent as well!!!!!
An old favorite. It was a Friday night goto, but when we moved across town we still popped in for a burrito now and then. We missed them during covid-19, but we happy to return. Not quite the same, but we're looking forward to catching up when things are more normal.
Great food, minus one star cause when they get super busy and you call in an order, they just say please hold, and set the phone down in the counter and you listen to them taking orders from other customers. I understand that them being busy is good! There food is clean and delicious! Just tell the staff answering the phone to let customers know that you're busy and the hold time might be as long as 15 or 20 minutes so we're not kept in phone-limbo.Staff is very nice in person.Prices are normal for Piedmont Ave. Yes it's more expensive than a taco truck. Don't know why anyone would expect it to be.
Luckily we didn't get anything because we were going to be charged double the price. We walked out and went elsewhere....
