I was THRILLED to move to Oakland from SF and find that a second Asha location exists here! The quality of their matcha is incredibly fresh and vibrant. I usually go for their matcha sparkler, and occasionally splurge on the matcha strawberry milk tea.Only warning: parking can get tricky. Best to order ahead and dip in to get.

This tea house has high quality tea from Taiwan and China.
Eh not great. First the menu is really hard to read, too many fonts and its big massive. When I finally found something I wanted, the tea lady told me they only had the seasonal flavors listed on the board. So why do you have a full giant menu?? Remove the menus and just use the board. I got a blood orange tea with boba. The first two sips were ok, very sweet and then bam the nasty bitter taste of over cooked orange peel engulfed my mouth. Took another sip, eek this is soo bad. My friend started saying the same thing. Both of our drink were so horribly bitter we couldn’t get past three or four sips. Not everyone knows how to cook with citrus and this was the case here. This Drink tasted like I was just eating the white rind of the orange. So gross so dissatisfied so bummed I spent $20 on two drinks that got thrown out after three sips.
I describe Asha as chic boba lol. Definitely a little pricy and the drinks i’ve gotten are very tasty. They also sell ceramics and some glassware merchandise. Overall a nice boba shop in downtown Oakland.
Love the tea here. There are many varieties and you can customize your drink. I especially like their seasonal drinks, like taro, strawberry tea. You can taste the real ingredients, not just the flavor syrup. So good!
Great lightly sweetened boba tea. Strongly recommend the oolong or jasmine tapioca milk teas. You may want to stick with normal sweet on your first go. It's a lot less sugary than most of their competition.
It's a very cute aesthetic setting. I think the sea salt roasted oolong choice was okay for me. Next time I will try another drink. :)
