Best chicken in the Bay Area!
Excellent fried chicken. We got the orange aioli, which gave the chicken an unexpected boost of flavor. The fried cauliflower was a bit spicy but was balanced by the palate refreshing, cool cabbage. The Yuzu mini cheesecake was spectacular! Thanks Aburaya!!!

Seriously addicting and tasty food! The chicken is so delicious. Also love the gluten free and vegan options. The shichimi dry rub is my fave on the chicken. Shout out to the fried edemame in miso garlic sauce.
This is hands down one my favorite place to it in Oakland. Great food, awesome friendly staff. Have never had a bad meal or time while going. Highly, highly recommended
Maybe my expectation was unrealistic, the service was good but the chicken was nothing to write home for. Korean fried chicken is much better, like Bonchon ?

What the reviewers say is true. Aburaya really knows how to make moist tasty chicken. According to my family, the poke bowl was full of texture and fresh soft tuna. The tator tots were fried perfectly, nice and golden brown. Their prices are very reasonable. However, the place is quite small with limited seating. They also have another location 2 blocks away for to-go orders. It may be difficult to find street parking, but I would definitely come back again for more yummy food.
Good food, good prices and now they have beer
