I love this place. And as a vegan they have the most amazing vegan shawarma. The hummus is the best around and they have outside seating. So good
The place has few vegan options , I ordered the hummus w 4 falafels that came w 4 sides of your choosing. The food was delicious - fresh and funny. I also bought the almond halvah, and it was duper fresh and fluffy, not dense at all.The guy that was helping me was not rude but not too nice either; very direct bit short , to the point.CC accepted.
Can't believe this place. It's the best most delicious kosher and cheapest place in California. I recommend it I have a hamburger ? it was good and juicy.
Really good fresh food. I haven’t had much kosher cuisine in my life time but this place is incredible. You have plenty of choices when it comes to toppings. My favorite deli by far and one of my top lunch specifically restaurants.
Nice kosher take out place with plenty of options. The pastrami was very good. They let you choose how much meat you would like in the sandwich (1/3lb or 1/2 lb) and you pay accordingly. There are many salad options to choose from for the hummus bowls.
Great food incredibly fresh air friendly folks strongly recommend for any dine in or Dino experience in Oakland California employees are really nice offend you I had my lunch dinner on Friday afternoon would absolutely come again anytime I’m back in Oakland
Incredible hummus bowls packed full of nutrition and amazing flavor. High marks all around!
Delicious shawarma!
I was told this is where you go to experience what hummus should REALLY taste like, and it did not disappoint.Very fresh, delicious flavors that taste like they were made by the Middle Eastern grandma and a host of aunties I never had.Abba's Hummus isn't fancy, but every one of their fillings and toppings are full of flavor and on point. It was my first time trying baba ghanoush, and I found it very yummy. We got shawarma in a pita and in a bowl. However you get it, they let you add toppings from the deli as much as you want/can! The bowl also comes with pita bread on the side, but the main difference is that you can stuff much more of the toppings in a bowl rather than being limited to the insides of your pita pouch. Chris at the front was really patient and kind with me, as I asked him what all the different toppings were. I particularly liked having my pita spread with a bit of the "spicy" red sauce, which wasn't so hot as much as it was flavorful.Neither myself nor my husband were able to finish our food in one lunch sitting, so it made for a wonderful second meal later on in the day. What a great value! Plus the food was homey and filling; I can't wait to be back! Next time I want to try their falafels! :)P.S. They also carry a variety of groceries in the back, if you wanted to get anything from Middle Eastern cookies or juices, to cleaning supplies. No fresh produce, though.
I can only echo previous reviews. Outstanding hummus bowls, best pita bread I’ve ever tasted.
