An Italian visitor picked this place and it didn't disappoint. She is gluten free and needed a custom order. Brushetta was great! I ordered a second plate because it was so good. I ordered the angel hair pasta and had them add broccoli. Yummie! The hostess asked why my car was running and I said my dog needed the AC on. She said I could bring my dog on the patio. They even brought a bowl of water for him. He approved of the bread. ? I will be back with my dog.

Visiting the area with my wife and son. We found Aurora on maps. OMG, what a fantastic surprise! From the moment we walked it we felt like family or long time friends. Everything that was brought to our table from the vinegar / oil and bread to desserts was perfect, authentic and fabulous. I wish Aurora was in our home town, it would be a regular favorite!!!
We had a dinner at Aurora Ristorante for twenty-four people and the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! I had sole which is tricky when cooking for a crowd - it was PERFECT! We loved the calamari and bruschetta too. I highly recommend Aurora Ristorante for the food and the wonderful staff, whether you have a large group or just are in with just a few friends.
I had heard from a friend that this was an excellent restaurant. We finally went there with my husband's mom last month. She's 94. The waiter was so cute, he played up to her like they were old friends. She of course loved it. Beyond that, the food was really excellent. We were all raving about our entrees. This place rocks!
We were staying in town and found this hole in the wall italian cuisine. The staff were very professional and down to earth at the same time. Our waiter recommended the lamb chops medium rare, and they were definitely worth it! I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly, very moist in a delicious wine and tomato sauce. Veggies were fresh and the bread they served was soft. Only criticism would be to warm the bread before serving. We will definitely be coming back in the future to try out more items on the menu!
I've been to Aurora a couple of times and returned for lunch with a friend. The location is a little off the beaten track in a light industrial estate across from Marin Humane Society. Outdoor tented seating has been considerably expanded and is spacious. We both had the pasta Putanesca which was excellent and perfect portion size for lunch. As the weather warms I'll return for dinner; meanwhile there are plenty of heaters.
Wish there was a 4.5 star.. Lovely vibes, excellent food, value and great service makes this Ristorante worth the visit. The place has a nice large menu with lots of options, decently priced wines and nice appetizers! We started with fried Calamari which was excellent. Lots of options with the Primo and Segundi menus. We will be back!
Easily the thing I look forward to most when visiting Novato. The food is fantastic. The staff? Even better. I visit Novato once a month for work and treat myself to Aurora every single time. It truly feels like a home kitchen where you’re treated like family. Julia is simply the best and you’ll be lucky to have her serve you!
This hidden restaurant is really a great surprise. What a tasty food! The best pasta in Novato, homemade! The menu has a rich offer, good prices, so you'll find exactly what would make you happy. Don't miss the Tiramisu! Absolutely delicious!❤️ Ask Ned for recommendations, he's doing a great job there! He served us and we really enjoyed our lunch there, thanks to him! We'll be back!
