One of the best local restaurants in town… Service, food, and the people are amazing.
I was absolutely thinking I was going to hate this place. I made a mistake and I think it's safe to say I'll be a returning customer. The food was nice and hot. The food is great and the price is good. It wasn't so busy when me and my family went service was pretty quick.
The food ? is so good ? The staff is very friendly and fast. Took my dad here over the weekend and hes hard to please.

Went to dinner with my family normally service is great but this time I don't know what happened, to start off we didn't get any chips and salsa at the beginning, we had soups with our dinners and the soups came out lukewarm, I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. When it came out the mashed potatoes were warm not hot, the veggies that came with the meal were 90% onions and the chicken fried steak was also warm. We didn't get any refills on our drinks. We had to go look for the waitress for our bill and we found her sitting on her phone. Needless to say it was a bad experience this time.
This was the second time bringing my family here and I ordered their Mother's Day special, Steak and Lobster. Yummy! It was all good and worth every penny. Can't wait to go back and try something else on their menu.
Very lively crowd; of course it has been L. A. Landmark for years. Stopped in for an early dinner but needed to have a martini; it was delicious and yes, the bar where the "stories" are. Earlier when we were there, the bartender told us celebrity stories; where they sat; Ate; Drinks, etc.! This time it was crowded but we enjoyed the food; One piece of advice, if you're going there, don't order spaghetti and meatballs. you can get it somewhere else!!
Today's breakfast included the famous Chile Verde Omelette with Potatoes O’Brien, and the daily special was Steak Sirloin N Eggs.The chili verde omelette was a generous portion, loaded with chunks of pork, and cheese in a delicious salsa verde. Not spicy, but flavorful.The sirloin steak was tender and seared on the char broiler for extra flavor. A large portion with steak, eggs and potatoes. Both plates served with choice of toast or muffin.If you love menudo or pozole, bring your pots to get filled up!Our waiter was very sweet, fast & friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. Plenty of parking.
Great Customer Service. The servers were very attentive to our table, not buggy, came at the right time and provided us with coffee, condiments. The breakfast was excellently prepared and the steak was medium well not under and not over. I'll be back!
