The perfect place to get your dumpling fix! This place has a wide variety of dumplings which you can get steamed or pan-fried. The dumpling skin is the right consistency - not too thick like some places. Lots of fillings to choose from. The pork and cabbage is particularly good. Their non-dumpling dishes are great, too! We love the braised eggplant and lao gan ma noodles. We have only ever gotten takeout, but their restaurant is spacious and clean. So glad these folks opened a branch in Northridge!
So my family and I used to come here before it was under new ownership/management. They always had fresh authentic food and our server was a kind family man. My parents brought home leftovers now that it’s under a new name/ownership and I have to say their fried rice just as fresh and tasty as before. Their soup is new, it had seaweed, sliced chives, pork & veggie dim sum dumplings & a good broth. We’re definitely coming back here again ✨.
The beef noodles was tasty. Not too spicy, so if you really like it spicy you can always add more chilis. Love how they package the Togo. The noodles doesn’t get soggy or clumpy. Taste similar to Din Tai Fung.
Shrimp dumpling soup was awesome! Kung Pao chicken was meh. However, they had one cashier/waiter/busboy all in one... he was nice but he had too many jobs for one persimmon I'll just leave it at that... next time I'll order the soup take out.... maybe... Just maybe...
Customers, be careful of this restaurant. They gave us NOT fully cooked dumplings. After we talk to the waitress here, she insists the dumpling is fully cooked and the color is pink is because they use red meat. That is ridiculous, it can’t not be half white half pink if the meat is fully cooked. Very disappointed experience, this is the worst northern cafe in LA area !
Just saw this place while driving down Reseda. Finally got to eat here and everything we ordered was LEGIT!!! From the XLB, to the wonton soup, to the boiled dumplings. In my opinion, their juicy pork soup dumplings gives Din Tai Fung a run for their money. Place was clean and homey. Staff was friendly and very attentive. This place is highly recommended.
The best Chinese food in town. The best food and the the best service. I can not wait to be back there again and again and again.
