We wish we could give it zero stars. We drove the extra miles from this Northridge location to the historic Burbank location because it didn't look like we would receive the level of service that we received in Burbank. In Northridge, the staff looked like they hated their jobs, the restaurant was dirty, and the seat of our booth had peeling duct tape partially covering a hole in the seat. The couple across from us had already been sitting there for 10-15 minutes and no one had even taken their drink order. We left. Upon our arrival in Burbank, we were seated immediately and greeted by our server, Jose. He was on point every step of the way, anticipating our every need! Thank you so much! Burbank saved the night! It was totally worth the extra drive! ??
My mom, brother and I went to Bobs big boy today and ordered 3 meals to go . I got the beef dip and fries and it was good, but my mom and brother got 1 shrimp dinner and 1 shrimp and fish dinner and it was horrible. First they didn’t even have any soup of any kind or baked potato, instead they both got mashed potatoes and vegetables. The gravy on mom’s potatoes tasted sour and both my brother and mom couldn’t chew the shrimp- too rubbery. The waitresses were both very friendly and they were great. It’s sad because I don’t even see bobs trying to rectify any complaints at all.
Regular diner experience. Basic food done well. We ordered the patty melt, fried chicken platter and an orange cream shake. The fried chicken was different from usual fried chicken..different kind of batter and had a crust to it, almost as if it was put onto the black top after the fryer. Not overly greasy or heavy. I liked it.
The food isn't as good as OG Bob's locations, but its decent. And the decor is falling apart! The booths literally have rips in them & they continue to seat people there. It's never upbeat like a Bob's should be. Kind of a let down
Definitely some good burgers! The burger patties tasted very fresh. I will be returning to try the breakfast
Think back 30 years ago when you go to Bobs and they had the Drive up eat in your car. It was great. But today Bobs don't waste your money
Ordered through Doordash and specified I wanted garlic parmesan wings; received traditional hot wings and called to see how to fix it. They first told me I didnt specify my flavor choice when my receipt says otherwise, then told me I had to go through Doordash and hung up on me. Got credit from doordash and called to verify that my order for new wings had gone through and was told to hold on while they checked. A minute or two goes by and then the line goes dead after being hung up on again. Subsequent calls ignored and then finally they answer"Helo?""Yeah why am i being hung up on?""We got your garlicnparmeaan wings, we got it." *click*What a joke
I’m a Huge Bobs Big boy fan but was very disappointed with this location. The place was very understaffed. Restaurant was half empty and took us 20 minutes to be seated. Another 30 for our drink order to be taken, we almost walked out. That on top of the restrooms were disgusting. Mens I shared a photo but the woman’s had blood on floors and walls and did not feel appropriate to share. On top of this the restaurant sat the table next to with a homeless woman with her luggage cases of dirty cloths and all. Now we are all human and I 100% support all restaurants should treat people as such and serving to go orders for homeless but to seat homeless people who have not bathed with there cases of luggage half open with items pouring our on the floor next to patrons, it’s just not sanitary and I was shocked I have never seen this before. The one waitress on staff did the best she could but shame on the owner to let this place operate like it does. I think his name is Frank because I had to listen to 20 minutes of fighting at the counter when trying to pay. There were long time patrons furious with him yelling at him on the phone. What a joke this experience was. Please do better Frank.
Great place. Our first time eating here are we had a great experience. ?? Food was delicious and the service was very nice.
Always a great meal at this throwback restaurant. The servive is hit and miss, but for those of us who remember the good old days at these eateries and their signature food, it is worth returning. I highly recommend their breakfast and the Big Boy Combo if you are new to this place.
