This place is extremely overpriced and slow to prepare your food. While is food is quality is decent and of average quality for sushi in the valley, 18 for a small piece of sushi roll that anywhere else would charge $8 is a little ridiculous for essentially food hall food. Make sure to do your homework and looks over the menu price before you head here.

You have to enter your food in a computer screen that even the restaurant people is confused with. They dont know how to navigate their own system. Takes forever for customers to order because of this. Lady in the counter was rude. Ordered the handrolls, it was empty and tasted bland. I had better Japanese rolls around the area. Never coming back.

The fish was so fresh. The premium hand rolls were delicious. The server took the time to tell us what each roll was. The wasabi was made from a fresh root. It just seemed really legit.

Went in with no real expectations, was very happy with the deluxe sashimi. Was not expecting hotaru ika! Will have to sit down at their bar for an omakse next time.

The pictures are for the 5 premium hand rolls and their sashimi salad. Fish was fresh and flavorful and definitely filling. Their sashimi was a lot better than the sashimi I tried at King's Burger on Reseda. The fish doesn't taste fishy and is very easy to consume if you're barely getting into raw fish/sushi.I have also tried their rainbow roll and it is very delicious. Definitely give this place a shot. Owner is very nice and always listening for feedback.

The best omakase this side of Tokyo. Chef Okumura is a rock star. Come here if you like really tasty sushi without mayonnaise.

I had the privilege of having Omakase at Akafuji recently. It is not a stretch to say this was one of the best sushi dining experience I've had. Presentation, taste, quality were all top notch in my opinion. Chef Ryota graciously and patiently educated me while serving the food. As a result, I came away with a newly found appreciation for Japanese cuisine.

Delicious fresh sushi. Chef Ryota is amazing. Enjoyed our omakase.

Great selection of Japanese fish, and very traditional Japanese sushi by Ryota Okumura.
