We drove down from Ventura to see a show at the Dolby Theater - Vitello's was conveniently on the way and it had been recommended by a friend. The restaurant was on day 2 of being open after a post renovation closure - you wouldn't have known. The food and service was great and the staff were all super friendly. After dinner we found that the Brady Bunch House was 2 minutes away - so we went to see that too! Thanks for making our evening wonderful.
First time at this well known venue and we were disappointed. Food was overly salted, presentation was nothing special, check plus the valet parking to drive the car into a spot in the parking lot ($8 plus tip) totaled over $195 for party of 3. No dessert, one drink each, tap water. There was a $5 service charge added to the check before tip calculation. No check brought to the table and server observed while the credit card was run and tip had to be selected. Tip was calculated on top of the service charge. Lesson learned, we should have monitored the check in the open table app along the way to prevent sticker shock, but for what it was, which seemed like cafeteria food, the price was high. The service charge was probably disclosed somewhere on the menu and I missed it because I was taking an old friend whom I haven’t seen in 15 years out for dinner and was trying to have a good time. That’s also why I didn’t want to raise concerns about the food, but I shouldn’t have to do that, either.

It had been years since we visited Vitellos--not quite sure why we stopped going. So glad that we returned. Wonderful service by our waitperson, very personal attention from Bob, and very good food. Ordered salad, pizza and spaghettini. Had not specified to slow down the service so we had just finished our salad when the pasta and the pizza came at once. By the time we got to the pizza, it was cold. Excellent cannoli and terrific espresso. We will be back, and when we return we will specify a break between each course. We had nothing to take home as we ate everything we ordered and the portions were ample and delicious.
I had not been to Vitello's in many years. It was better than i recalled. The service was impeccable. Reynolds was there when you needed her, and not when she wasn't. She answered questions well and was a true delight. My guest and I were very impressed. It won't be long until we are back again.
Good experience, the Dover sole was rather salty & over cooked. Wait staff good.
It was a beautiful day to sit outside in their patio the food was excellent the service was great we always enjoy Vitellos
Great server, but Bobbie your Manager, greated us like a 4-Seasons Restraunt Manager. All smiles, checked our table a couple of times and made sure we were happy! But main course took too, too long to get to our table. Total time us (4) sitting From time we sat down to leave 2 hours 15. Thursday night not a week-end. Everything was good even your bus and helpers excellent!!!

Officially the worse Italian restaurant ever. Pasta wasn't fresh nor cooked properly. Any pizza from any supermarket is by far better than the special pizza we ordered. Totally disagree.
