Not sure how they have a 4.3⭐️Only thing good here was the salsa and chips.Chimichanga tasted like fridge.Fajita plate had about 20% meat on plate.Carne asada had to much faty meat.Decided to doo a patio dine in it started to get chilly, I shed if patio heater could be turn on. Out of the 4 none had propane❄️As a Hispanic this restaurant puts me ashame saying Mexican on it..
Food was good. I just had the very "standard" cheese enchiladas, rice & beans, so hard to go wrong. Also had 2 Modello Especials on tap. Felt good to actually eat in a restaurant again. Waiter was good at refilling the waters & keeping the chips & salsa coming. Menu looked like they had a pretty good selection but just stuck with the basics this time. I'll be back...
I haven't been back in years because of a bad experience so tonight my mother really wanted to go for mothers day so we did....Took 22 minutes to be seen by a waiter for drink order.Chips were a bit old tasting but great salsa....Then the main course. Her food was all great. 3 combination plate. My taco salads insides were good but the shell (best part) was so stale that it was a bit hard to eat so I gave up.We were there an hour and a half and we saw the waiter only once, He also didn't say Happy Mother's Day or greet us very nice.... I don't know.Over all I'm not sure I'd go back. The ladies in the front were AMAZING and the margaritas tasted great.
Checked out this place for lunch. Good hospitality and food!Ordered Chicken Enchiladas, Avocado salad appetizer, Horchata and Cheesy Bean Burritos.Good proportions and they also have kid friendly menu with high chair supplies.Chicken Enchiladas (9/10)Avocado Salad Appetizer (3/10)Horchata (8/10)Bean Burrito (6/10)
My girlfriend had family in town and they wanted "authentic Mexican food." So, Ernie's was the top of the list. Two teenagers and four adults, we ordered A LOT of food and it was all great. Despite us thinking we ordered too much, we powered through and were all part of the clean plate club.We were the only ones on the back patio. So I think they forgot about us once or twice. But, otherwise, it was great. Highly recommend.
Ernie's is a lovely friendly place in LA, the team were friendly and welcoming. The Margaritas were excellent and the food tasty. The fajitas and enchiladas were good, portions huge and it arrived quickly. Also tried my first tamale! The manager looked after us, couldn't do enough and at end of the night said we could wait inside for our Uber. Thanks to the team st Ernies!
The fact that it's Mexican food
We ordered margarita special (not remarkable, cheap tequilla), fish tacos (no seasoning), and a burrito. Used to seasoned Mexican food. Shocking for a family style business
Three of us enjoyed friendly service, yummy combo's, good margarita's. We'll return next time we're in town!
Free chips and salsa, and I got the chicken enchiladas. Very tasty, and the staff was incredible.
