I've been coming here for many years. The sushi here is top notch, excellent fresh quality. The staff always remembers me and the service is great. This is probably one of the best sushi places in all of Los Angeles.Family owned and operated. Extremely consistent. They have their own parking lot so parking is very easy. I highly recommend trying this place out.
I absolutely love the sushi I have had here; I believe you will too!The fish is so fresh I swear it wiggled a bit, the flavors and textures each order had plays wonderfully on your taste buds. If you're not a seaweed lover, they can wrap most of the rolls in soy or cucumber if you'd like (I love all combos, but I have to admit, the spicy tuna with soy is BOMB)Now, due to this being a well known, and quality food restaurant, definitely call in advance to make a reservation! Don't be rude and expect to be seated as a walk-in before others who have made their reservations ahead of time.If you want to get addicted to amazing sushi, then come here.Recommendations for average diner:-Spicy Tuna Okoge ("Crispy Rice")-Spicy Salmon Cut Roll on Soy-OG Chirashi or Jyo Onigiri-Miso Soup (it's the best I've had, I wish I knew their secret lol)
This is the BEST Japanese restaurant ever! Fish and sushi is so fresh and delicious. Staff is very accommodating and gracious. A true cultural and culinary experience!!
Food was so good and service was fantastic!
After reading the review of the 28 Best Sushi Spots in Los Angeles dated 1/20/2022, we went there for dinner. All sushi dishes we had are fresh with great taste. We love the patio dining. At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, most seats are full.
This is got to be one of not so many restaurants that actually serve freshest and quality ingredients. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up stuffed myself. I ordered mostly just nigiri and an eel avo handroll and shishito as an app. My fav gotta be ikura with quail egg(must try). Their choice of toppings on sushi were a bit different from what I used to but they worked. Overall an unique taste and experience. If you like nigiri, this is the place. The service was great and my server was so polite(maybe a bit too polite cuz I couldn't really hear what he said haha) apart from that he's knowledgeable and professional. The price is a little above average but it is expected for this type of quality and service. The only reason I give 4 stars is that I found a good size fish bone on my Tai sushi. Which is understandable because it's a fish nonetheless it has bone and accident happens. I've been eating sushi for many many years now and sushi is my favorite food so I will have sushi every week or even twice a week. This is actually the first time I encountered with bone in my sushi. I hope that this doesn't happen to other customers because it might not be easy to deal with..trust me.
Chiba is always bomb!! Love seeing Shig and enjoy a nice relaxing dinner. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, been coming here for 35 year's.
Pretty good place for hangout with friends. Food taste good and hot. The staff is very friendly and answer you all questions.
Best Fatty Tuna, and Salmon belly Sushi in all the USA. If you have never been to Japan for Sushi this is your chance. But here is a fact.. Top grade Sushi like this will cost $$$$ so expect to pay, but you will be rewarded. The 'Sweet shrimp' is to die for.
This is the best sushi I've ever had, including when comparing to Michelin star sushi restaurants. The fish just melts in your mouth. It's incredible.
