Mischa was our waitress and she was on top of everything... And my open table request was granted by the window and it was lovely! First time at the Tavern and we will be back *( thou not on a Friday Night!)

My daughter and I had the best experience at Tavern! We sat by the window and enjoyed the sunset while eating some great food. We started with the artichokes and shrimp which were both exceptional . The housewives of OC showed up at 6pm so that was pretty lively! We met people at the table next to us who were delightful! Then had their homemade carrot cake for dessert! It was amazing! Great night - Lots of fun, great service and exceptional food! Pretty loud!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Tavern House. We had a table by the window and the view was amazing. The bar is in the center of the restaurant and with large parties there it could get loud in the restaurant. Our server was fantastic and made great recommendations. She did not steer us wrong in drinks, appetizers, main course or dessert. We enjoyed the blood orange cosmopolitan and fashioned cocktails - both delicious. Our Belle Glos Pinot noir was also amazing with our meal. The French onion soup & Ahi poke were so delicious. The scallops entree was cooked perfectly and they were melt in your mouth - the flavors from the polenta, prosciutto and brown butter were so good. For dessert we had the life-changing carrot cake and the chocolate pot de creme. Our server called the carrot cake the best in Orange County and she may be very right about that. We had a excellent meal and will definitely dine here again in the future.
We really enjoyed our meal at the Tavern House. Great view, welcoming hostess, friendly server, fantastic food, excellent drinks. So glad we tried this place, I'm sure we'll be back!

Great food and service
Iâve been many times at Tavern restaurant in Newport Beach, and it was my favorite restaurant till last night! I invited my friends and made a reservation a week in advance, I requested seats by the window with bayside view, I also called a few times and unfortunately they didnât give us the seat I requested; very sad! Last but not least the lady who served us, she was very angry, with bad attitude and very rude. She was like that with everyone. It was a very bad experience last night at Tavern and definitely Iâm not recommending this place anymore to anyone! Very poor service! :(
