It was my partnerâs birthday. Put that in the notes. Nothing was done to make it special, we had never been, but they never asked if it was our first time or offered any suggestions. 170 bucks, and we were just welmed.
I had an amazing dinning experience here at the Newport Beach location. The food and service was amazing. Thank you to our server Monet she was super knowledgeable, kind and made our experience a great one. Will be back soon!

Sushi and service were great! We loved everything we ordered, but popcorn shrimp and albacore sashimi with crispy onion was the best. Highly recommend this place.
The menu is pretty short and does not include anything to distinguish it from dozens of other sushi restaurants. Food quality was ok, nothing special. Service was below average: - we had a reservation but had to wait for a table while several other parties were seated right away - we had to ask for coasters for our drinks - we had to wait unreasonable amount of time for our food. Instead of apologizing for the delay the staff gave us a lecture on how it takes âmore time to prepare nigiri sushi because itâs an artâ. - we were asked if the dinner was for a special occasion and told them it was a birthday. We were never offered anything to celebrate the birthday. Bottom line: an overhyped and overpriced place with nothing to match either the hype or the prices.
