Holy Garlic Bread!Came here with family (who are all carb eaters) and wasn't expecting much from pasta, but this place had great food and probably the best garlic bread I've ever had (they season BOTH sides of the bread!). I had the Gemelli Pasta with Chicken Sausage as recommended by our waiter, my parents had the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (it's their favorite) and the rest of the family had Fettucine Alfredo and Rigatoni Primo.Everyone loved their food but I really enjoyed the flavor of the sausage and the creamy garlic sauce on mine. It was the perfect combo of veggies and pasta and absolutely delicious. They give you BIG PORTIONS so be prepared to go away filled, or to have enough to take home with you.

Restaurant reviews about this place over the years describe it like sitting down at your grandmother's house and having her "fix up something special". This is so true because this is a very comfortable old-fashioned restaurant with plenty of privacy The key to enjoying the unhurried experience is to order the optional tureen of minestrone soup and salad one order feeds two people, actually) and this is well worth the modest $12 expense. Whatever your day may have been in terms of stress and being rushed, it all starts to fall away with this wonderful soup with its perfect broth that is neither too hot nor too cold and the very high ratio of vegetables to broth. Wgenh pair with th homemade salad, it is almost a vegetarian min-meal in itself and there are refills on the soup, which I highly recommend. An essential part of the unhurried preparation for the main course is their amazing handmade garlic bread, which reminded me of meals I actually had years ago in Italy itself. The garlic bread is served hot, very thickly cuts and perfectly seasoned and moist but not soggy (or hard crusted at the other extreme). There are refills on the garlic bread also. My wife and I live about an hour away so have been here only a few times, We now returned for with our two adult sons (ages 20 and 24) and wanted them to experience the uniqueness of a great, unhurried Italian meal. All four main dishes were tremendous: Chicken piccata paired with fettuccine alfredo, Risotto with beef, a chicken sausage with layers of flavor, and perfectly smooth but hearty spaghetti with meat sauce. We ended with the eight layer- chocolate cake for a perfect evening of dining. Simply put, this is now our go-to place for Italian food, ambience, hospitality and "decompressions" - and they have been doing this now for 52 years!

Always great food at the bender..?. Stopped by after the Airshow..Great staff..?

Had a great time. Service was outstanding, among the best we've ever had anywhere.

Best Italian food in town. Hands down!

Mona Lisa is way better than this place. Ordered the Alfredo and hit had pools of butter in it. I'm pretty sure they used powdered Parmigiano cheese.

Was sour about my hotel next door so I went for a walk and the smell dragged me next door and I have to say this place is a little jem super cozy small restaurant with great food and very friendly staff. You owe it to yourself to spend a night outdoors on there patio

This place is great. The best garlic bread and meatballs. Sitting in the outdoor patio is so relaxing and everyone is so nice!

Authentic Italian Restaurant, Staff really friendly and As an English/Italian now living in California I liked the vibe.To be honest they do things old skool which is goodIf you are looking for an reasonably authentic CA Italian restaurant then you are probably not going to go too far wrong but take it for what it is.
