We ate here and some of us had cold food, others stated the food was way below average. Most of us did not finish our meal. Our waitress was very rude and acted like she did not want to serve us.
It is a nice "feel good" restaurant. The lady who runs the place is so pleasant and nice. Good Italian menu and pretty tasty. Very cool ambience with an Italian style bar also. Right next to the beach and the bike path also. Laid back. They serve the food a bit slowly, so go there with friends or on a date, ready to sit back and relax. Then walk across to the beach or go to the other side of the peninsula to enjoy a 3 minute ferry to the balboa island in the Newport back bay.
I have never been to this restaurant but I saw a very disturbing video online today. Three gay men went to this restaurant and were harassed by the female bartender because of who they were. They were then violently thrown out. There was no reason for this. They were doing nothing illegal and simply wanted to be served. Being gay is legal in California and under State Law they should not have been denied service because of their sexual orientation. Just because you do not like gay people, you are still required to obey the law and this you failed to do. You are facing serious charges and you better find yourselves a good lawyer because I have a hunch you will be needing one. Don’t be surprised if the security guard loses his job and gets charged with assault and the rest of you face serious charges for allowing this to happen. And the State of California could very well pull your license and put you out of business.
In a winter day and mid afternoon, the place was empty and we had good attention and service. The salad we ordered was fresh and appealing. The fish was from a bulk food service like Sysco. It looked like a place focus on making a buck not making a food statement. They probably serve tourists all day long. Looking for a quaint Italian place, this is not it.
Very rude staff. Food expensive and had no taste - probably microwaved. Would stay clear from Siena.
Came here for dinner and got terribly sick. Service was slow, bartender was rude and food was disgusting.
Staff is unfriendly and rude and food was no better than olive garden. Avoid this place. Sauce tasted like it had been re-heated several times. Overpriced poor quality. And, they discriminate against minorities.
The worst service ever, rude and belligerent . As if that was bad enough, I did not think the food tasted great but I ate some anyway, big mistake! I was sick for days immediately after eating at this restaurant.
What health codes aren’t violated. Probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Horrific service, poorly cooked food, hair in the food, bugs in the restaurant.
