Location, location, location. This location is really bad. Food not appetizing, same grated cheese you find at Costco. I got the Caliguey burrito, tasted like someone decided to wrap over done McDonald’s fries in a tortilla, spit something reminiscent of guacamole on top of it, and then sprinkle the resemblance of meat on top of it, wrap it up and call it a burrito. Oh, and good luck parking anywhere near the restaurant. You can park next door, but then you run the risk of getting towed. Hey hey, not okay lol
This place was pretty fun the nachos were delicious and the quesadilla I had was a solid 8/10 (just very greasy cause there was a lot of cheese I ain't mad about that). The biggest downside in my eyes is there are like 4 tables on the inside and 2 on the outside so not a lot of space to sit and eat but the food was really good and it wasn't busy when we went at 3 haha
Sancho's Tacos = decent food + worst customer service possible. I went in tonight for dinner and an unmasked person handled my food. Bear in mind there's currently a mask mandate for all public spaces here in Orange Co. When I asked for replacement food handled by that person I got a dramatic eye roll. When I reminded the person of our current requirement she said "it's none of your business." Ultimately the food in question was replaced by a more reasonable (mature) person. I've never had a positive customer service experience at Sancho's. Tonight was the worst. Sancho - you're dead to me. I'll happy take all my business to Carnitas La Villa around the corner; better food and nice people. Wish I had followed my instinct and done that tonight. **Google requires I give at least one star, their customer service deserves 0 stars tonight.
Good news: Their food is delicious. They knock it out of the park.Bad news: Outside the pandemic, I've never had a positive customer service experience (any that's at a variety of locations.) Tonight's experience was infuriating and ultimately heartbreaking. Came in for a takeout order and saw all but one staff member was wearing a mask. They initially tried to give me my food to eat there, but when I asked for it to be boxed up as requested, I saw the unmasked staff member handling my chips. I said that I didn't want food from an unmasked staff member and could I please have fresh chips handled by a masked staff member. The unmasked staff member rolled her eyes at me. I told her about the indoor mask mandate in OC and she said, "It's none of your business."Let me say for context that my family and I are visiting California so that my daughter can have medical treatment. She is very medically vulnerable. We have multiple people in our family who are medically vulnerable. The doctor who is treating my daughter only agreed to do so during this pandemic if we completely isolate while we're here because he has medically vulnerable people in his family. The issue tonight it that the health privilege is so thick for this staff member that they cannot see how for so many Americans who live with chronic illness, we have so much to lose right now. I get that she doesn't, but at the minimum, it's her job to make sure the food my family eats is safe. On a human level it's disappointing that she can't see past herself to live with kindness and empathy for those vulnerable around her in this world. As a result, our family will take our business elsewhere. Wish we had done that tonight.
I recommend! The food: we ordered many tacos. The best ones were the carnitas, beef and shrimp ones. Chicken ones were very dry.Flavours were good but nothing out of this world. So after that first experience we decided to come back and try other items. Second time I had a steak burrito and wasn’t disappointed at all. It was delicious! The place: A bit loud so not really baby friendly (in case you’re looking for a family friendly place). Good thing is that the restaurant is just two blocks away from the beach. Service was ok.
The carnitas tacos were delicious. Juicy, tons of flavor and reasonably priced. There was a perfect balance of heat with a slightly sweet aftertaste. The staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return to try other things from here.
Awesome location, chill vibe and great breakfast burrito. It was my first and I just went with the basic. Looking forward to going back and adding some things / customizing (for a fee). I'm sure it will be a 5 star after that. (I was a little bummed they wouldn't offer their lunch / dinner menu until after 11a, but it's not a deal breaker by any means)
I love the look of the place, and my Flaco burrito was excellent. I'd give it 5 stars but the service was so impersonal. But that wouldn't stop me from coming back!
Excellent food and service. Had a large order and they double checked it for me so I didn't have to. Avoided the awkward scolding from my wife on why I came home with the wrong order... that's priceless to me.
This was my first time eating here and I ordered the Sawed Off breakfast burrito with bacon. It is very filling, and great tasting. I had green salsa on the side which is very tasty, but honestly the burrito had enough flavors it really didn't need salsa added, which is saying something! I talked to a group of guys at the table nearby and they said that the tacos were really good, so the next time I'm in town I may have to try the tacos too!
