Otosan Sushi is a trendy place with a warm atmosphere. The female owner has created a restaurant with fresh ingredients and homemade dishes. The garlic edamame was delicious with a one of a kind sauce. The spicy tuna was fresh with high quality ginger. The chefs make the udon noodles in house, and the tempura was crispy and hot. Finally, the mochi donuts were tasty and the presentation beautiful. My husband had green, hot tea, but prefers roasted, brown teas. Overall, Otosan Sushi was a pleasant experience with high quality dishes.

This place is absolutely amazing!! I am such a foodie and not easily impressed. Otasan Restaurant certainly rose to the occasion for us today. This was hands down the best, freshest sushi and nigiri I have ever had! On top of that the service and our table were great. Best Mother's Day dinner in a long time. We will definitely be back. ♡

We got take out and it was the best sushi I've had in a really long time if not ever. My husband is more adventurous than I am and got the Chirashi Bowl made with fresh fish the chef chooses for the day and even I thought it was delicious. I got the ahi tower and we split Tuna Tataki. I'd get any of that again but what I'm most excited about is when they open they will have Omakase where the chef specially selects items based on what you like. What we got was pretty expensive over $100 for the two of us but we love good sushi and feel its worth every penny. They do have other menu items that were less but because we don't get to go out as much, it was a special treat. I did really appreciate all of the efforts they were making to be safe for Covid. I'm always a bit hesitant for uncooked fish but they really went above and beyond to make you feel safe. Even our takeout was sealed for our protection with branded stickers. We got a sneak peek inside and the space is beautiful. I can't wait until the world opens up again. It's at 2nd and PCH and the perfect location to go stroll, shop and have an amazing sushi experience. They are taking reservations for outdoor dining at this time so we are dining on their patio next time.
The food is not salty and taste good
Had an exquisite lunch at Otosan with my brother. The sushi is very high quality and beautifully prepared. They just opened so we called in the order and ate outside on their patio. Definitely going back.
Ordered the three sushi flights and the mochi donuts. Ah-may-zing! They’ve been open for about a week, soft opening. Order at the counter and then they being it out to you as a to go order but you are welcome to sit in the patio to eat. Each piece of sushi is a work of art. Exquisite in taste and flavors are individually distinct. The three mochi donuts were just the right chew and not too sugary.
