This spot is not exactly full service an not exactly fast food. Its somewhere in between. You sit down and they give you a menu. You fill out your order and need to go inside to pay first then sit back back down. Water is self service. There is a food runner, who brings out your food but that's about the extent of the service. We ordered two Poke Bowls (pictured) the total was $42 including a 15% tip.The order wasn't made exactly correct as they forgot one of the toppings, but no big deal. I just had to go inside and ask to get it on the side. Overall it's just inconvenient to be running around getting everything yourself while paying full service sushi prices. Food was a 3.5, service 2.5, overall a solid 3.0 value.
The ramen was pretty good, but the sushi was great. But OH MY HEAVENS it should be imperative that you order the brussel sprouts. They were absolutely amazing. Epic. It's possible the kitchen has a direct line to manna from heaven and they package them in a styrofoam container.
Awesome poke bowls and ways to customize them with your choice of toppings. The staff is always friendly
Great Japanese food with Hawaiian influence. Best ramon I've had! Not cheap though.
Great food!!! The employees were so nice, and overall just a nice place to eat. I would definitely recommend going here if you’re craving sushi.
Food may be great. However these people have no respect for allergies and lie to your face and serve you things you didn’t order. I ordered shrimp gayoza and they ended up giving me chicken which I cannot eat and haven’t eat for years. They weren’t apologetic and the wife was very rude. Her only response was “we don’t have shrimp”. But how about telling me this upfront rather than just making it and charging me. I’ve never seen just disrespect. What if I had a severe allergic reaction? I would suggest going to a better place where people know how to treat their customers.
If you want to eat ramen for the sake of eating ramen, this may satisfy you. If you want to eat amazing ramen that gets you excited, I recommend driving to Hiro Nori in Irvine or Long Beach. The tonkotsu was bare bones - broth, green onions, 2 very thin pieces of pork, and a HARDboiled egg. Eating ramen out of a to-go container with a plastic spoon, while dining AT the establishment, is pretty unappealing too. In all fairness, Ohana may be known for their poke or sushi, but it's possible that tourists frequent them, as I can't really imagine this being a locals spot. The restaurant closes at 9pm, but the staff turned off the "open" light at 8:41 and the music shortly after. We had no intention of staying longer than necessary, but it was a little uncomfortable finishing our meal with no ambience. Also, I recommend adding a hook in the restroom, as there was no place to hang a purse, jacket, etc. It looks cute from the outside, but was underwhelming and I would not want to return for food.
Food wasn't that great and portions were a joke and the women working there asked me if I ate my food quickly then gave me a judgemental look for eating my California rolls too soon even though the portion sizes were a joke and food wasn't fresh.
Ok sushi. Rice was dry and hard in some pieces. The portion of the rainbow roll is very small and it is $15. The pork belly sliders were good.
