We went for their prime rib dinner special. The salad vegetables were so fresh and chrisp. It was delightful ❣❣❣The prime rib was perfect and delicious. It was a generous slice and very tender. Seasoned perfectly and not salty. Again the steamed vegetables were amazing. The service was great. Attentive but not hovering. Super friendly and helpful. This was a marvelous meal and that's no malarkey ?????

We went to Malarkey’s to celebrate my best friends birthday who was visiting from out of town. Valerie was one of the best servers I’ve ever had in Newport. She was so attentive and really gave us the restaurant experience we needed to have fun. Will definitely be returning to Malarkey’s and hope to sit in Valerie’s section again!

Love this place always great food great prices friendly staff. Meatloaf Monday is good taco Thursday is awesome I personally avoid the weekend nights like Friday night Saturday night because it's super busy because it's amazing so if you like a crowd those are good nights to go and if you don't maybe another time like me I love to go in for breakfast it's excellent everything on the menu is reasonably priced and delicious what can I say favorite local spot to grab

I love their tropical iced tea, patty melt and crispy tater tots. My sister loves their veggie omelet and breakfast potatoes.

good food, great staff, friendly atmosphere.

My wife and I stopped by this restaurant one night during our stay in Newport Beach. We both ordered the fish & chips and got a rather large portion each. Most places I’ve been to give you probably 2 pieces of fish, but here you got 4 pieces probably 6” long each. So unless you’re super hungry…..a couple could probably split this. It was obvious this was a locals place and that’s fine. I think my biggest complaint was the service. I had considered ordering another beer, but the waitress never bothered to check back. I really had a flag her down just to get the check. Maybe they were short staffed and it was busy…..I don’t know. That’s why my rating was lower than it probably would normally be

First of all they over served a woman to the point she couldn't talk. She waited for a "cousin" who was over eager to address her. Which I told the the bartender, his reply was "my name is Joe" which wasn't his name obviously. And he picked up a glass bottle to strike me with but I managed to take a photo.

It's a fun Irish pub to get wasted at, watch sports and eat bar food. Maybe 25 bar stool seats and some tables are offered. Weekend nights are crowded. I went to watch March madness on a Saturday afternoon and it was not busy. One downside is there isn't audio for the games.

Malarky's older, male bartender is condescending & disrespectful to women, and their bouncers share the same disregard for their female guests' comfort & safety. Strongly recommend all ladies steer clear and venture elsewhere.

Great bartenders and great atmosphere
