It's like they JUST discovered salt and they don't know how to control themselves.Gets 1 star because the bacon was crispy, gets the extra star because it's edible.I got the Buffalo Bill and it looks like a fundraiser burger. Ordered some fries and it appeared I got a bowl of salt with some fries in it.Wouldn't go back here. Nice environment to hangout I guess but it's nothing without having a good plate of food. You might have a different opinion but this wasn't it.Had to come back to edit my review: They close at 10pm, it's 9:39pm, there's still a good number of people in here, and the restrooms are closed for the night...nice.
Food is great and there is a short line when we order. The Food usually comes out fairly quickly. Their beef is very good quality. Although the burger portion is small, it's filling enough for me. This place is mainly burger focus & they have delicious seasonal appetizers as well. Truffle fries is a must try!Service: prompt but they don't check on you after they drop off the food like a typical restaurant.Parking is shared with the Fashion Island mall parking as they are a part of this mall.Pricing: between $12-$14/ burger
Pretty good burgers but hamstrung by ridiculously slow service. We went on a holiday weekend for a late lunch, the restaurant was decently full (maybe 75% capacity or so) but only had 1 server taking orders at the bar, and 2 other servers doing everything else. Took a really long time for everything, from waiting in line to order to waiting for someone to come and clean up a table to getting our food. The burgers are good, and the queso fries had really good flavor but the queso sauce was not even room temperature. I sent it back to get it reheated and they sent another out exactly the same temp. I walked by the kitchen and it seemed also understaffed,so they probably didn't have time to check whatvever they were sending out.
Great service. Fast service. Good selection on burgers. I ordered the bison, very nicely done, tasty! Others in our party ordered the Ahi burger - very satisfied. And the classic burger again high points. The sweet potato fries were excellent.Great selection on draft beer.Great place to grab casual burger dinner and spend good time with friends and catch ip.
It's a good burger joint, pretty straightforward with a good variety and styles of burgers and sides. The location is nice, being inside Fashion Island and is definitely one of the better options to dine at unless you want to spend 2x more at the premium restaurants studding the parking lot.There are DEFINITELY other places you can get better food, but this is fine when you just want something quick but not from a department store cafe, Cheesecake Factory or PF Chang's.They serve tasty fries in large baskets, and they serve beer and spirits, so you're in for a good time.
My favorite gourmet burger place. The burgers are so juicy & delicious with Hopdoddy special twits sauce. Also their flavored fries are just yummy
We really love the Hopdoddy (and normally order from Playa Vista) but we’re in Newport and I wasn’t particularly hungry tonight (thank goodness) - so ordered the kale Caesar plus my family’s meals :( talk about underwhelming. Everything tasted good - but - super lame serving size on my salad. Really bummed.
Ordered the llano poblano burger and substituted the 1/2 pound patty. The burger was decent but nothing to write home about. The egg bun was the same. I had a couple of special requests that were accommodated. Overall the experience was fine but nothing to write home about.
Our burgers were delicious. My plant based burger with mushrooms was prepared nicely but had very little mushroom. The fries with truffle sauce okay. Not the best but still hit the spot.
Great atmosphere, good service and vegan/vegetarian friendly. One of the best beyond burgers I've had. Wish they were bigger but that is not a deal breaker for me. Definitely recommend for all type of eaters.
