This place was HIGHLY recommended by family and in 2021 had about a one-month waiting list, so my expectations were high and MET! WHAT WE ORDERED: Newport Beach Clam Chowder, Pan-Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, Mustard Barbecue Beef Ribs, 'The Duke" Filet Mignon, Tres Leches Cake and Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Fudge! The decor is so cute with little boat accents everywhere. The food was absolutely delicious and I LOVE that they had several low carb options. Everything we ordered, listed below, was soo good and I highly recommend. I also felt the price considering the quality was great!
I always eat and golf stream when I come to CDM. The food is always amazing. This time my friend ordered a huge steak and loved it. Also we had desert, and oh my gosh I think it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Tres leche cake!!!
One of my personal favorites in all of Orange County and truly one of the most popular spots in all of Newport Beach. The seasonal artichoke is unmatched and the smoked trout and salmon are go-to’s as starters. Close your eyes and just randomly point at the menu and order, you can’t go wrong!
Let me start with the short answer: The staff, the food, the service were all amazing, especially our server Jennifer, who was always friendly and always available at just the right time. Go have a meal here! You won't be disappointed. It can be a bit loud when busy, so fair warning if you are sensitive.Now the longer anecdote: We had reservations for 6:15 and arrived a couple of minutes early. We let the host know that we had arrived. The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait a while to be seated. After about 10 minutes, one person in our party was visibly upset. The staff noticed and made every effort to accommodate us until a table was available. They offered drinks while we were standing and brought us an appetizer after we were seated. Ultimately, the wait was not that long. The upset person in our party wasn't being completely reasonable, IMO, but the staff did everything they could to make the experience excellent.A final note: I loved the artichoke and the rosemary biscuits - and the New Orleans barbecue shrimp was very tasty and satisfying... and the people watching is pretty fun too.
This is a very wonderful seafood restaurant with great service over the top. but they used to serve fresh thick fish grilled and They don’t have any of fresh anymore even for dinner. the biscuits are over-the-top delicious with great butter and great honey the artichoke is expensive but it is wonderful and grilled with fab sauce and fried shrimp really gigantic prawns and Panko batter wonderful to me. the rice salad is heavenly the kale salad is good as well it’s a wonderful place but it’s very sad that fresh unusual fish is no longer available
Had a recent business dinner here. Amazing place. Parking lot full of extremely nice cars lol. Looks like a great place for happy hour but we were here for the food. Dinner was excellent. Great service. Owned by the Hillstone Restaurant Group. I have been to a number of their other locations. All are excellent. Will return again soon!
I loved @gulstream! The ambience was beautiful and the menu gave you so many things to try! The biscuits were the best biscuits ever served with salted butter and honey. The seared ahi tuna salad was seared ahi tuna with a salad of mango, cucumber, pickled red onion and avocado with sesame miso dressing
Been here 3 or 4 times always great service and great food for the price.
