The Great Maple at Fashion Island is a great place for lunch and dinner. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Great Maple has ample outdoor and indoor seating options. The maple/bacon doughnuts are a decadent delight.
Marissa was an amazing server! She was very attentive and went above and beyond! Hostess was very welcoming too! If the food was better and more reasonably priced we would return. Maybe we will just to see Marissa!

We love this restaurant. I only have one complaint regarding the fried chicken/donuts brunch dish. The chicken was not warm enough and the donuts seemed like they were a little stale compared to ones Iâve had in the past. Our friends ordered donuts to go and they took a long time to come out and were warm when they came out which makes me think my donuts werenât as fresh as they could have/should have been. Otherwise, it was a nice evening.
The Taco salad was mediocre. The lettuce was not fresh and the chicken over cooked. There were very skimpy on the avo, only 2 slices!!!! A $22 salad when it should have been $12. The Mac and cheese was salty. The service was very good but other than that, it was very disappointing.
Food was delicious as always, and service was great. Indoor and outdoor seating options available, can be a little noisy indoors, but you can still easily carry on a conversation. Highly recommend.

The experience was underwhelming & did not live up to its hype & customer reviews. On a positive note though, our Bloody Maryâs were good & our server, (sorry I donât have her name), was friendly. We stopped in for breakfast and had a 10:00 reservation. The restaurant opened a couple minutes late. No big deal but a party of 17 crowded the door and walked up to check in counter ahead of us. They did not have a reservation. No fault to Great Maple but the hostess did not ask if anyone else waiting, us & at least three other couples, if we had reservations before leaving the counter to go set up a table for the large group. Again, they had no reservation so those of us with a reservation had to wait. Once seated all was good until we received our breakfast. Husband ordered chilaquillas & I was excited about ordering the chicken & maple donuts. The food was disappointing. My chicken was over cooked, the breading burnt & the donuts were very dense & hard. My bad for not asking if the chicken was all white meat. It is not. I was unable to eat my breakfast so my overly kind husband gave me his chilaquillas, which we both found to have good flavor but dry. During our meal, a service table was pushed over near our table which took away from the little bit of ambiance we did have on the patio where we sat. I do wish we would have had a better experience. Unfortunately we will pass on this restaurant in the future.
