This place is crazy expensive and the food quality is not backing the prices. The chili is unflavored, the pulled pork sandwich is definitely under seasoned, and the burgers needs more flavor. I asked for it medium and it came out well-done. Again a $16 dollar burger, that doesn't come with fries and is a little hole in the wall, should taste great and be cooked to order.. Basically more flavor and seasoning. The one thing I enjoyed was the hot dogs. I've been here 4 times.
The good: Fish & chips was delicious. The bad: If you're going to offer clam chowder, make sure it's homemade and served hot. What we were served was almost cold and tasted like Progresso, out of a can. We were dissapointed. ☹
10/10 banger very tasty will return
We discovered that Crocker's serves more than $10 hot dogs quite by accident. After having lived here in OC and in Philly for 12+ years, and really enjoying the diner offerings in Philly, we walked into Crocker's to check out their baked goods. Wow! Their pies are outstanding, even at $9 a slice, that slice would feed 2 - 4 people depending on how hungry they are. And their brownies, let me just extoll their virtues for a moment - fudgey, yet with a crisp crust, and not just plain brownies, they have exceptionally fancy ones as well. But this is just their dessert offerings, which a good diner in Philly would also have. (I haven't tried their cakes and cookies but bet they are amazing as well). Main courses include that $10 hot dog, chili fries that rival every diner in PA and NJ I've ever eaten at, burgers that are served on fabulous brioche buns, salads that are crammed full of stuff besides lettuce. The pulled pork sandwich is excellent, also served on their delicious buns, but this time the bun was topped with cheese melted into the top - yum. Unfortunately, Crocker's doesn't keep diner hours (ours was open 24 hours a day before Covid) but while they are open they are serving seriously good diner food.
I love their sweets available. I ate there 3 times in 48 hours because there was a nice variety and also the sweets. I had the lemon blueberry tart, the mixed berry cheesecake, and also the buckeye pie. I also had the bratwurst, sweet potato fries and we had breakfast as well. Everything was delicious.
We were on vacation just wanted a nice lunch at a local place. For three people for lunch shouldn't cost $75. The staff was rude and clearly wanted to be anywhere else. I had to repeat my order several times and each time the woman at the register rolled her eyes. I would never recommend this place. The food was just ok and the pie even had a very thick hard crust.
Amazing Veggie Sandwich, homemade coleslaw and a perfect picture on the world going by! Staff great,Just the kind of sandwich I was hoping for!
The food and baked goods are amazing.
This place is a bit hard to find. For the first time I tasted real butter in the pecan sticky bun I got. It was so gooey and they put pecan inside the sticky buns too! Can’t wait to try other desserts from their bakery!
Quaint coffee shop on Marine Dr w great coffee and even better pastries. Cool place to chill with a sketchbook and people watch before a stroll along the marina.
