Service was not the best. Waited along time for our drinks. Ppl tht came in after us got theirs b4 we did. Had to ask 3 dif times for bread, from 3 dif ppl. There was lipstick on the glass of water we got, sent it back n never got another water. For as many stars this place has, thought service wld be top notch, but it's severely lacking. Retrain ur employees.The food.... mediocre at the best. Fish was undercooked. Almst raw! The potatoes were hard n asparagus was burnt. N the steamed mussels tasted like metal. 1 wld think tht for these prices ( not cheap), they wld hve sum better then mediocre food.OVER RATED OVER PRICED n UNDERCOOKED! Will not b going back here again.Ppaaassssssss
This was such a cute place! I'm so glad we found it. We didn't have a reservation, but they were kind to accommodate ua. The hostesses were very sweet with a cute personality. Great ambiance and fresh fish. We all ate different things and we all loved it. Some of their dishes are fresh catch of the day! All of food was delicious. It was a great place to even order non fish/seafood dishes. Gorgeous view!
Easy to find, wheelchair accessible, parking fills up fast. We came mid week for lunch ? we tried a few different plates like... the cod, swordfish, chicken, trout all great choices. My mom had a bloody Mary ? I think it was out of her league ? the service was fantastic food HOT, FRESH & DELICIOUS ❣️Coming back in July with friends.
The food was fine. Good crab+artichoke dip, fish overall was good, crab cakes were ok, oysters Rockefeller weren’t as great.The service was atrocious. I would ask for things 3 times before the server remembered, nobody knew what wines they did and did not have, the servers didn’t know what an espresso martini was, they brought several things to our table that we didn’t ask for while not bringing the things we did.This place would be good with a few tweaks to the menu and a brand new staff that has basic listening and retention skills.
I have been going to eat at the location in RB and NPB for many many years. My family and I have spent thousands of the dollars the RB location service has been horrible since the management of Carlos Hurtado. My daughter was visiting from Texas and wanted to go to dinner at the RB location we decided to go even thought the service there has been horrible the last few time I have gone. When we got there the waiter took 20 minutes to come to order drinks and water and then we ordered drinks and they never came as we waited for another 20 minutes for dinks to arrive . I went up to the bar and I saw the manager walking by Carlos Hurtado and I explained the situation to him and I told him your service has gone to crap and you guys seem to be understaff . He proceeded to tell me if you don't like it there is the door and you could leave. I explained to him I was a long time customer. I told him I wanted his bosses number and he told me he dint care and he went and got a card and gave it to me. The card he gave me was his personal card and he repeated if you don't like it there is the door . So I told him that while he was the manager I will never go back and told my 5 family members let go .Once again he said good by we don't want you here .This is the worse I have ever been treated in a restaurant !!! You have lost a loyal customer and his family thanks to Carlos Hurtado!!!
Went for lunch today...had no idea it was closed for nearly 5 months for a major remodel. The waiter; I believe his name was Huf, was excellent at his job...made a great recommendation of the mahe' sando w/a blakened seasoning. It was perfect. We thought the facelift on the restaurant looked fantastic and the food and service was as good as you would ever want.
Ordered the steak, homemade potato chips and bacon potatoes. In addition coconut shrimp, fried battered fish, and soup. Friendly service, beautiful views. Price is above average, but the quality of food is delicious.
Great food here, always try to eat there when in Newport. Best grilled artichokes EVER!!!
From the valet parking to all the wait staff we felt very much like they wanted us to have a great experience and we did! You won't be disappointed when you come here the food and atmosphere was amazing!
So, food was good. Some of it came a bit cold but they redid it and it was tasty. The seafood is a must - they do a really good job with it. Why 4 stars? Service can be slow although I think that's mostly the case when they start to get really busy.
