This Vons is the only Korean chicken place we recommend to our friends. Their chicken has such a good balance in between crispy and juicy. At home, we cook almost every single day because we don’t like restaurant foods but when we feel lazy, this Vons is the food we order.
It has the best and clean taste It's a restaurant I want to come back to
Not the best chicken I've had but still tasty. The fries were delicious but in short supply, could've packed the container with a few more for the value.
Bad restaurant rude people work there. Bad smelly chicken place. Bad unhealthy place to eat... Deep fried not good for you anyway.
My go-to spot for chicken wings! I usually get the soy glaze (spicy) and the chicken is usually pretty consistent! The skin is crunchy, the meat is juicy, the sauce is sweet (but not too sweet) and savory and spicy. If you want an extra kick, trying ordering just the sauce on its own but ask for it extra spicy.Service is really good and fast, though I’ve only ever had a chance to do takeout.
For people not from the bay, don't confused this place with Vons the supermarket. This is Korean fried chicken and it's legitimate. As with any fried chicken places, finding the perfect crunch without the dryness is the key to superiority and Vons has nailed this. I ordered two half chicken (drumsticks) for two flavors and it was more than enough for two people. These aren't dinky winky drumsticks. They got a lot of meat and the spicy packs a good punch without you feeling like your tongue got pinched by a scorpion. I got Crispy Fried Chicken (mild) and Crispy Yang-Nyum Chicken (spicy).Plenty of parking in the lots. My complaints are that you have to order online for take out, no phone orders, and it's pretty pricey. Expect to pay $16-20 per person or $3.50 per drumstick. Ya I know. Aside from that, it's crispy and delicious.
Good food…. Reasonable portion sizes…. Freshly prepared….. tastes really goodTried the red oven baked chicken.. extra spicy…. Totally worth! Will be visiting again!
The chicken legs here are so massive and juicy. I'm not complaining though B^). Pretty solid KFC, and the quality of the chicken was pretty similar to the Fremont location. Comes with some pickled sides. I ordered mild tteokbokki for fear of it being too spicy, but it was pretty tame. I ended up reheating it with some red pepper flakes because I wanted it spicier. All the food here tastes just fine when eaten leftover, but the crispiness of the chicken decreases over time. Will come back again when my craving for fried chicken returns, and this time I will get spicy tteokbokki!Edit: just read other reviews. If you choose to lower your rating of the food here because the girls didn't smile at you, you should go to an establishment where being pampered is part of the deal. The workers here are good at their job... not smiling at you doesn't change that.
Chicken is decent, Kim chee fried rice is bomb but the customer service is pretty vile tbh. Unfriendly, no smiles (I get it, retail is hard) but a little effort would be nice. I ordered food on a cold evening and there was literally no one there, the young lady told us we had to wait outside?! Covid has made a lot of these restaurants forget basic customer service. If you're that afraid of the sniffles, maybe you should shut down completely. I'm never going back to this dive. There's many, many other restaurants that still believe in customer service.
Vons is my absolute favorite kfc (Korea fried chicken) I have been countless times and am never disappointed! Great food and great service every time :)
