So I had dinner there on 5-8-2022. The worst meal I have ever had there. First of all the bar is CLOSED. They said their bartender never came back from Covid. So, we ordered 4 glasses of Sparkling as all they had was Sake, beer and Sparkling. They gave me some $2 glass of Prosecco (not sparking) and charged me for Mumm Sparking for $17 a pop. I had reservations and we had to wait an hour at the table for the chef. The other people at the table had to wait 1.5 hours as they were there 30 minutes before us. The fish did not smell fresh. Our meal overall was not good. I have been coming here for 30 years. Never again.
This place was great. Portions are very generous. Prices were pretty reasonable. We went at a slow time and had good service.The tipping situation is unnecessarily complicated. They add 18% regardless (okay, I guess) but then don't let you add more or anything.The tipping thing + the lack of a drink menu are the reason for the missing star.So, take that with a grain of salt. Go for a Sapporo and sushi and you'll be happy.
Still really great place, especially for celebrating! The food tasted great, the service was good and honestly only thing missing was a bartender (apparently not enough regular liquor drinkers coming in). However, I am fine with beer and the staff made us feel really welcome!

We had a reservation once seated it took over an hour for the chef to get to our table. The restaurant had no forks provided plastic spoons, the drinks were all pored into plastic cups. The service was slow. We will not go back. Not to mention meal was costly and only mediocre.

Tasteful & genuine Sushi...They didn't have my beer & I was willing to pay corkage & was told I'm the first person ever to pay for beer brought to the restaurant; it's hard to believe that, especially they've been in business for decades. Anyhow, they finally agreed..
Extremely slow. And forgot 2 items out of the order (despite having it on the receipt). Agreed easily to remove 18% mandatory service charge which is minor plus , but still ruined Valentine's dinner by their service.
