Very good barbecue restaurant with quality and value that exceeds Phil's BBQ.We got the full rack of pork ribs and a side of potato salad. The ribs were meaty, lean, tasty, and fall off the bone tender. The BBQ sauce is very good and takes the ribs to the next level. The potato salad was very good, with a perfect balance of creaminess and vinegar. The staff was very friendly and extremely efficient. They are so organized, even a long line moves very quickly. We were able to choose and place our To Go order, and be out the door in less than 10 minutes.
My daughter and I visited this place , she had the sloppy Joe and I had the ribs bolth tender and the ribs had a good smoke ring but NO flavour I was sadly disappointed I am a huge bbq nut so I know my bbq . Suggestion mabe work on a signature rub or seasoning and for the love of God add some diffrent styles of bbq sauce something not apercot flavored and liven up the vibe in store .

The brisket was super tender and tasty and the beef stew was excellent!
I've gone to the location in La Mesa for years and have never had any issues with portion, quality, or taste. Even the customer service is great in the La Mesa Location. However, for the first time, the National City location disappointed me. The beans were cold, the corn bread was cold, portion seemed soo much smaller than usual. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. To top it off the cashier seemed like she didn't even want to be there. I'm definitely sticking to the La Mesa Location from now on.
This place has been here for years & they know how to make BBQ!! Best flavor I've ever had when it comes to roast beef !! EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS AWESOME!! Highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly and provide great service!!
After gathering from 6 states for a family funeral, we had lunch delivered from the Barbeque Pit. We were amazed at the delicious food and ample quantities! Everyone, from the kids to the great-grandparents were impressed with the meat and side dishes. The barbeque sauce was a big hit on the sandwiches and even those who aren't usually baked bean fans raved about how great they were! The Barbeque Pit was easy to work with while planning for 85 people and delivered everything we needed exactly on time! We highly recommend the Barbeque Pit!
Excellent. Both my husband and I were impressed with finding good BBQ out this way (we're from Missouri/Arkansas). Everything we ordered was on point, especially the pulled pork sandwich! Quick service, as well.
Super good basic bbq. No fries just good bbq. Potato salad and Mac salad are my choice with the beef sandwich. So good. There bbq sauce keeps me coming back. It sweet with an apple ish taste. So good. Cheaper than most bbqs also.
