Good price, good eats.First time trying Pollo Pupusas(chicken and cheese stuffed corn meal gordita) it was tasty. They reminded me of fried cheese quesadillas and the sides( spicy pickled cabbage salad and a spicy tomato sauce) paired well with the pupusa. Definitely recommend trying it.
First time ordering from here. It was really good. My only issue is they didn't give forks or pickled cabbage or sauce with my Pupusas. Didn't know that was something you had to ask for .it usually comes on the side. Other than that my food was steaming hot an fresh. Make sure to ask for salsa an pickled veggies yall.
Relatively new but, in the cut so.... you'd have to have an eye for these &, a taste for this type of flavor for this type of food to find it. Either way, it's pretty good. It's already in my top 3 El Salvadoran restaurants in San Diego! Can we get a Nicaraguan restaurant out here, though??
Wow, food was amazing and prices! But the most important thing for me was how AMAZING the ladies were to us. Valeria y Esmeralda ( I asked for their names) they were on top of their game and they were extremely busy ! If the manager reads this! You have great employees running the front.
Changed our lives. We were sooo hungry and found this local treasure. Super affordable. Absolutely delicious and fulfilling. Generous servings. Fresh chips + horchata. Each pupusa has a hearty filling of cheese + meat, veggie options as well. Staff is friendly and sweet. Will definitely come again and bringing all my friends.
Really good Papusas. Better than El Salvadoreño on Imperial Ave. I’ve been going to ES since they opened (like 20 yrs ago), I decided after paying through the nose for their food, the quality wasn’t worth it and what did it for me was being charged for containers that me and my party of 4 were taking leftovers. They have me some BS about having to pay for the newer containers. As if we weren’t paying $5 for an agua! Or the corn deink! Seriously?
I asked for revueltas and they only had chicharon (and not the good type)... I ask for chicken and cheese and it only had some type of chicken that it tasted horrible... so sad for this stablishmemt because they had good pupusas in the past... if you are looking for good Salvadorian food unluckily this is not the place anymore... I really recommend you to look for other options... just to be clear this was a to go order...
I'm not a fan of pupusas but this place made me change my mind pupusas are delicious here and the puerco tamal amazing.Review update, this time i tried the chilaquiles sorry but the worst i ever tried just tomato sause and regular chips ( they used the chips you get before ordering and the same salsa its just warm, egg, cotija cheese, onions and cilantro)Sorry just stay away from chilaquiles and get pupusas those really good ?Honest review.
My wife dragged me into this place and it was awesome. Authentic and full of glorious flavor food, sides and salsas. Highly recommended
Food is 5 stars but don't get the soup to go, this is the second time I get it and it's not the right container. It leaks and this time the top opened so half spilled. Next time I will bring my own container to take it to go cause the food is worth it.
