Never again. 1st. The waiter took my whole family drink orders but mine and it seemed like I inconvenienced her by letting her know what I wanted to drink. 2nd. My wife and I ordered the same thing as the people on both side of us (blackened chicken and shrimp). The family on both side of us, their food came out still smoking as it was supposed to. My wife and I food came out cold. The guy said he "lost" our table as if we moved the entire booth somewhere else. 3rd. My wife ordered loaded mash potatoes and told the waiter twice she did not want sour cream. Yes. it can with extra sour cream. Grand finale. My wife's salad had a bug in it. She noticed after I had already eaten my salad. I couldn't eat anything else after that which came out first. They gave us a 3 dollar discount because we had a but in the food. Overall terrible experience. I still ended paying over a hundred dollars for some food we picked at and left. Oh and my daughter's yogurt had some foreign object in it as well. This place should be shut down.
Came in for a late night meal, let's just say I regret not eating at home. First off it was one of the hottest nights in San Diego and Applebee's decides its a good idea to have the heater on. You can imagine how musty the restaurant felt as you walk in. If that wasn't enough, I ordered a burger that came out cold and a pasta that looked like it was made last week. Service was good, but the food and environment killed the whole mood. I should have just stuck with chili's.
Worst experience ever. Walked in with a child in a wheelchair and a stroller. Was told they couldn't seat us with both. I stated we would go elsewhere and then was told they would figure out how to accommodate. Food wasn't great. They gave us marinara instead of salsa with our chips?! The server was decent. Everything else...horrible.
I have nothing to say, the quality of the food itself was normal. there was a caterpillar crawling on the broccoli and the lettuce for the salads was at least a week old, it was all brown and loose.The food was cold, cold. the buns weren’t fresh. There was a tiny bone in my steak as well.I’m guessing they don’t bother with anything and are forced to give out food or something.
After entering this business 10 minutes later was sat down at a table. 15 minutes later I had to grab someone's attention to get anything ordered. Dom my waiter then comes around 25 minutes later and says I have to reorder because the manager that took our order didn't put it in. She proceeded to bring my partners dish out and at the time of writing this review 8 minutes later is now finally bringing my dish out. Not sure what issue DOM has but she's very unprofessional
It has been an okay experience. Food is decent if you play it safe. I do not recommend sitting by the tables all the way inside the restaurant, it is pretty stuffy. They should really improve ventilation.
After 3 years we finally came out to eat, we love Applebee’s but today was just a pleasant experience. The fries that the kids got were old and cold, I’ve been carving the steak buttered , but sadly the steak was just not chewable. I really hope that the quality of the food improves. Last time we came here the food was bad too, I always come back hoping it will better next time around, but I won’t be coming back with my high hopes.
We like Applebee's. Good variety of selections. My only complaint is that my food isn't always hot when I get it so if you have ordered something that should be crispy the bottom side may be soft or soggy like my fries. But the flavor and service is consistently good.
As person that has worked in food service for 6 yrs I can honestly say this is one of the worst dining experiences I've personally had. It was a mild night got seated within 5 minutes and order taken shortly after sitting down order drinks apps and main course, drinks were brought out as we were sipping on those wait for our 2 appetizers another party of 6 sat down next to us shortly after they order they received drinks and apps at this point we still hadn't gotten any apps and were almost finished with drinks. After they received their food I started to feel ignored after getting the attention of another server we we told it's just been a busy night but our food would be out in a few minutes. After waiting for 28 minutes at the table we received one appetizer that was incorrect because we specifically ordered it with no pico and no onions, my second appetizer was completely forgotten about yet it was still added to the deal at the end. When making my order with the waitress I had specifically mentioned that I had went online and seen the sake with shrimp however on their menu in store it was not on there and I asked her if it was still available she said yes if I could have that one my dinner companion also one of the exact same one we ordered our steaks medium well and medium rare my steak was rare at best. *The bathroom stunk horribly made me nauseous as soon as I walked through the door, was definitely not being cleaned on a regular basis as I have gone in there when we first entered the restaurant and there was a drink cup sitting on the sink an hour later and went back as we're leaving the drink cup was still there. Many restaurants have policies of cleaning their bathrooms once an hour or even twice an hour.
Happy hour specials were outstanding and delicious bone in wing with Buffalo sauceYummy yummy to my tummy they have other good dishes also check it out..Good job Applebee's
