My wife and I shared a very memorable experience here on our 5 year anniversary weekend. We were grouped with one other couple, hosted by Justin, just hanging out and enjoying the estates while sipping on their wine! It was intimate, off the beaten path, gorgeous, and relaxing. It feels good to experience and support a family operation who creates incredibly delicious wine, (meanwhile flagship labels off in the near distance attract all the heavy traffic, producing wine just as good).
We just returned from 4 days in Sonoma/Napa, and Truchard was my favorite stop. First, the wine is great. And very reasonably priced. I didn't plan on becoming a member at any of the places we visited, but couldn't leave Truchard without signing up. It's a small, family owned operation and you can tell in the best ways. Our tasting took place at a picnic table at the base of the vineyard, and we were the only ones there. Our host was awesome-Informative, fun and really easy to talk to. I could have stayed there all day!
Carlix was amazing and taught us all the amazing nuances that go into wine making. Family owned vineyard and amazing people.
Very friendly staff and the wine was great it's got lots of history and the prices are unbelievable for Napa. Definitely a must see when visiting the area.
Truchard is how I imagine traveling back in time and experiencing the quality of Napa in the late 80s early 90s. Carlix was fantastic and I can’t recommend the tasting experience here enough. I will be returning next time I’m in Napa. Thanks for a wonderful visit!
Best lazy wine tasting. Only by appointment. And you learn a lot! The visit was absolutely beautiful.

This was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life and by far the best tasting/tour that we had during our time in Napa Valley. We were woefully unprepared for our trip, but Carlix (the Cellar Master) was able to squeeze us in for a last-minute tasting (thank you!!!). Whereas tastings at other vineyards were primarily just sitting at a table, this tasting started off at a picnic table outside, wandered into the wine cave to smell new oak barrels, and then into the vineyard where we got to try grapes straight off the vine! We learned so much and had such a wonderful time seeing the Truchard property and getting to know Carlix. An incredible experience with extraordinarily friendly hosts. Please make sure you visit Truchard when you go to Napa Valley!!!!
Not too far off the beaten path, this family own winery is a must! What a welcoming and personalized tasting experience. We got to walk the vineyard, explore the cave, smell a barrel, and ended the tasting with an in-the-moment rose blend. Carlix, the cellar manager, gave us a uniquely individual tasting and was incredibly knowledgeable and a gracious host! These were the most surprising wine we've had in three trips. Highly recommend!
Beautiful! Amazing experience walking around the vineyard, learning the history of the winery, meeting the owners, and hearing detailed explanation of the wines. Highly recommended!
