We have visited many of the large,visible from the road wineries but Silenus Winery appealed to us immediately because we are always attracted to cozy, intimate, your'e like family experiences. The staff treat you like out of town relatives and are far more knowledgeable about wine & wine making processes than any of our relatives( except maybe my brother-in-law Kip) Silenus Winery has given us two memorable experiences we will always cherish - one was a beautiful afternoon n
My best friend and I had such a lovely afternoon here last Wednesday while on vacation in San Francisco. Sami was so friendly, kind, and knowledgeable! And the wine was amazing! I will definitely be placing an order online now that I am back in VA.

Sue was an outstanding host who was both very knowledgeable and entertaining. We especially enjoyed the history of the "Silenus" namesake and of the way that they encourage and support not only their own wine makers but also others to explore both modern and traditional wine making styles. There was certainly no shortage of great tasting and interesting wines and we would absolutely return.
